does anyone remember this thread, where we seemed for a brief moment in time that people's experience colours their view and that what they think other don't want to hear could in fact be contradictory to other's experiences- not just opinion-....and that circumstances are different?0 -

Different country, different currency, different construction standards (by a long shot), etc.
But the more relevant question is why does a house in Cairo cost more than a house in Alexandria or Siwa.....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

If you did not know why did you not leave it to Hamish who would know the answer. .
Actually I have no idea what Glasgow house prices cost.
I do know you can pick up a place in the central belt within commuting range of Glasgow for well under 200K. A similar place within a similar commuting range of London would be double or triple the amount.
But wages are not half or a third as much in Glasgow as they are in London.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Or the fact that one is the most overcrowded city in the world, and the others are not.....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

You can pick a decent flat within a commuting distance to London for under 200K. We would need to know the type of property you are talking about to consider. If you are going to compare Kent to Scotland then I'm assuming that you would know the price of a similar 3 bed semi within reasonable commuting of Glasgow or Edinburgh?0 -
