  • Hi all, freezing cold and snowy here in Merthyr too, had about £12 in change from last night so that's in the box. Also had an early Christmas present this morning, a speeding ticket through the door, was doing 38mph in a 30 zone. Anyone have any idea how much its gonna cost me? They've only asked for my name and address atm...

    Happy saving all, Paul.

Paul - I got caught speeding about five years ago :o and I got three points and £60 fine - I was so annoyed as I saw the cop car with his speed gun going up the hill but forgot all about him on the way back down, I was doing 43 in a 30 :o:o naughty I know I have been so good since then though and my licence should now be clean, I think I need to send it off to be updated though  not too sure about that though so if anyone knows about that I would be grateful.

    :santa2: Hi Everyone,

Just when the kids really believed we would get snow what does it do but rains.!! DH says it will snow tomorrow will wait and see. I have broke two umbrellas this year think I will invest in bright yellow oilskins!!!!
Well haven't been anywhere exciting. Made a load of snowman soup for the kids and grown ups of course put more pennies in my pot which is already getting heavy!!!

Made a rash promise to DH not to nag him till after Christmas!! He says it's impossible and he will miss being nagged :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I will try but it is hard.

    evening :)
After my shop-kill find of 5p yesterday I had a trolley-kill find in Iceland today :D Not my problem that the lazy sod in front of me didn't want to remove his trolley....
So I have put in the wine bottle nearly £13 over the past two days... pleased with myself? I think so.....

  • Hi All,
Hope it's all right to join you guys - I have set myself a challenge to pay for my lift pass (about £160) when I go skiing in March from my sealed pot (a cat money box I got for Xmas last year) and dooyoo/survey vouchers if I need to use them.

After I get back I'll start all over again with a new challenge!

    Claire.
