I have just reached my target of £150 for the year by adding the £10 cheque from walkers for predicting the weather. The rest has been made up of anything below 50p. My total for the year is £150.52!! Which i'm really pleased with.
Next year (starting tomorrow - I'll be adding all coins and any notes, so hoping I can reach a higher total. My aim is for £200+ (tho hoping for more than 250) sealed pot challenge 2011: #895. (total in 2010: £150.52) - £270 banked.
Long Term Savings - £3,340 / £4,000 = 83.50% / Savings - £580.00 / £1,000 = 58%
Target to save £5,000 in 2011: £1.368.50 to go

My total for this year is £252.57so beat last year's total by £131.62! Did this mainly by saving 1p 2p 5p and £2s (not in £2 savers club). Looking forward to seeing the grand total!

P.S. Sue, could you please count me out of the challenge for 2011. I will still be saving in a similar manner but I have a really tough year coming up next year and I know I will have to dip into the pot more than once so that kind of defeats the purpose of it being a "sealed pot". My total for sept _dec 1st is.......£352.27p
making my total for the year.........£980.27P
So the £352.27 will be banked as this is near enough the amount my puppy will cost next year.
