I'm in the new house and almost unpacked - need more coat hangers but refuse to buy them all at once so still have a suitcase in the middle of my floor for now. The bottle is in pride of place next to the (not working) TV and has been fed more road kill this week than I think it'd had for pretty much all of this year so far, apparently the affluent people in the South East don't require such trivial things as 1p, 2p, 5p or 10p coins, which suits me just fine.
Bottle still looking much emptier than it did last year but hopefully once I'm working in the bar it'll pick up again (previous system as a bar maid was small tin for tips, which when full got emptied and any change not fitting in the bags went back in - this time any not fitting in bags will go in the bottle), just need to practise smiling and speaking slowly and clearly in southernese.....
Morning scubangel
Hope you settle into your new house and job quickly hunGood luck with the smiling and speaking slowly practise :rotfl:
You're welcome Susi, so pleased you're with us and set to save. Come Nov/Dec it'll be such a help.
Hiya scuba, good to hear you're settling in well and that the pots safely there too! :j Why not see if the local charity shops have any hangers for you, even if they cost a little (to go to the charities) tis better than forking out 'real' cash.
Oh dear sparky, still, I suppose at least it'll be completely 'clean' of anything. Darn shame about your photos though. Hope it'd not long before it's sorted fo you.
Good to see you Queenriderbrekke! You've been doing really well and saving in as many ways as is possible, good for you!
dbushes, you really are a confirmed sealed potter, keep it up....and remember, if you have an OH he'll be so thrilled if you empty his pockets.....for him!
Kerry, always your saving self, well done.:D
£2.52 in the pot for me after shopping.

Morning Sue
Lappy's now back home safe and clean  thought we'd lost all the pics, but luckily remembered I had them backed up on my BT vault, so it's not quite the disaster it looked like being. I also see you're trying to re-vamp the Sue_UU pocket raiders by encouraging dbushes
Keep up the good work kid :rotfl::rotfl:x

Hi Sue-UU,
Thanks for the mention. Sadly no OH so no raiding pockets there but hey this is something I am working on at the moment to. LOL
Loving this challenge and am dropping change in everytime I get home. I am even spending less to make sure I have money to pop into the pot.
Am always on the look out for roadkill to add to my pot. HMMMM might have to take up evening walking - hey getting healthy and reducing debt. I love it.
ruby1968 - Keep it up. Remember you are in a better position today than you were yesterday.
Have a great one to all SPC's.

It will PC, just keep as hard at it as you can and you'll find it all so worth while. My own's only growing slowly, but it all mounts up come December. £3.71 is good for the time you've been with us. Keep with it and save all the cash you're able to. Good luck, it does help.

Thanks Sue! I have a little admission to make... I raided the pot on Sunday to pay for take away from Pizza Hut (it was the only spend I had all day, and we used a voucher code, but I was still annoyed with myself for raiding my change pot ). But, I kept a note of the amt I'd had in there, and put the last of it back in the pot today. Added an extra £1.51 too, so now I'm at £5.23 Not too bad.
Had a bit of a bad day yesterday. Had been doing really well for the last few wks, and feeling very positive about my money-saving and getting rid of my debt once and for all. But, didn't have a very good day at work yesterday, and think it left me in a bit of a mood, which made me feel quite down about finances. I did have a no-spend-day though, so at least I didn't try to make myself feel better by spending (thinking I'm finally through that phase once and for all, which is great). Feeling much, much better about things this evening :j

Morning PC
Hope you're feeling better today, easier said than done but try not to let work get you down, once I walk out of my work I forget about it until the next day;), don't worry about breaking into your pot, at least you had it there, plus you've paid it back.
