    3p for the pot today.
ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)
  • Since last week i've added £4 in pennies to my sealed pot. I've decided now that i'm going to use another jar for pounds and notes. I said originally I wouldn't include pounds and notes but I haven't been spending so have been left with the odd £20, £5 etc, and nothing for my sealed pot :( It would take me ages to change into pennies, so i've put the pounds and notes in a separate pot to the shrapnel and i'm going to try not to count it.
It probably doesn't help me that I know i've put in £36. So I'm going to put a label on it: DO NOT COUNT:A:rotfl:
I'll add it all up in December with my sealed pot & distribute it where I see fit.:T

..Somehow I don't think it'l so easy... as other's have found. but i'm with you now guys.. we can do it!!! :T
Current total for my sealed pot: £65.92!
    sealed pot challenge 2011: #895. (total in 2010: £150.52) - £270 banked.

Target to save £5,000 in 2011: £1.368.50 to go
    SP : £407.36 / £550 Vsp's in 2011: £174.85 -17/07.

Hi! I'm new to this forum and only found it thanks to my MSE weekly e-mail. I'd really like to join this challenge as I'd love to not get into more debt again this Christmas but also to try and clear some existing debt. I have two children so I thought I'd get really messy with them later and try and do some paper mache to make a money box. They'll love it and I'll have a practical use for what is made too:D

My goal is to save enough money to pay for Christmas 2010. And by that I mean food, drink and presents:D

    Morning joXani
Sue, she's the boss in charge of giving numbers out, should hopefully be back online later, consider yourself part of the gang, welcome to sealed pot challenge, enjoy the banter, but most of all enjoy saving :D
