Was going to make a pot, or use my existing jar, but was in Home Bargain and they had these piggy banks that you decorate yourself. Don't know what the original price was, but they were on offer as they had no pens in - 99p which I thought was a bargain. You can open them, but I have sealed it with craft glue so it takes a bit of effort.

So started it off with £1.20 in 20p pieces.

Hi gilligansyle, (another night owl like me I see) well you certainly can't get much cheaper than that. A good idea with the glue. You've made a good start in it today, a great start to the year! It's not always easy to save at times, but to do it whenever we're able is the only way.

    Sleep well. :)

Only 33p for me today :) I may have an extra 50p to go in later though, I don't normally keep any change in my purse below £1.

I've decided I'm going to put that other 50p into my tin from my purse- I'd only spend it on rubbish anyway, better saved than spent!

That brings me up to 83p for today :) Hope everyone is having a lovely day!
  • Hello!

Can I join the 2010 sealed pot challenge? I got a ceramic polar bear moneybox yesterday (free in a buy 2 get 1 free gift deal); he does have a stopper but I will have to use either self-restraint or superglue to get round that problem...

I don't have a target as I have no idea how much will end up in there.
