It is very sad that I have had to open my savings can (you know the sealed ones) from the pound shop. I realised I had not a penny in the house and need bus fare but it does mean I was able to properly count what was in there £13.50 minus the bus fare.

It has now gone into my new shiny gold pig from M&S and I will be able to keep an account now.

    Hey, Count me in!

I've had a sealed pot for a year or so now. Only this time, instead of throwing in loose change, I'm putting in 20% of any money I find in my purse at the end of the week! (i.e. not much :D)

    Welcome Baby Franny,
Sue will be along later to allocate you a number, you'll find us a friendly bunch, and very supportive, enjoy the banter, but most of all enjoy saving :D

Dw and I had a fantastic weekend with out friends, came home with a sore throat and a cough . Also came home with 3 £2 coins, 1p in road change (they don't drop money in Shropshire! :o), also put about £4 and odd coinage into the pot.

Have a great day everyone, I'm on lates this week so I'll be back later to annoy you all :D

  • Morning all!

Hope you had a lovely weekend and well done everyone who's put money in their pot!

I decided that I'm going to empty out my purse every Sunday after my weeks spending and whatever is left will go in the pot so today I am adding a grand total of:
    £7.04!!
Didn't have a big grocery bill this week as have been trying really hard to use leftovers and stuff in the freezer. Hope I can carry on like this every week!
