  • I've actually had some loose change to put in to my pot!! YAY!!

Went out for drinks last night and had money left over so that has gone in (£4). I also found £1 in the wash basket, so I've gone from putting nothing in for days and today I put in £5 - feeling good!

Hi everyone, hope you are not all too cold.

I haven't been out so no change for the pot today. It's the first day without and I don't like it so I'm putting a pound from my purse in there!

I've been totalling it up each day but I hazard a guess that I will get bored and no doubt stop doing it before long (adding it up I mean).

Congratulations to the member that had the baby (sorry I have forgotten your name).

My cash cow (that turned into a pig) made from instructions at the beginning of this thread has dried out really well and is a fine specimen! He will prove very good for the challenge as I took so much effort making him I shall be distraught to 'kill' him at the end of the year, so unlikely to do so before then!

    Take care everyone.

Well I put a crisp £5 in my sealed tin jar last night after a visit to the pub, the big coins are topping up nicely now, however after a visit from my brother and his kids my shrapnel bucket ended up £6 lighter! The kids are 4 and 3 and a baby, i said they could keep what they counted and (with a little help) they made there way to £2 each!

I told them they could only keep it if they save it though! Start them young!

  • Went out for dinner and drinks last night - dinner was card paid so no chance of any suitable change there; drinks were cash paid but they didn't give me any pot worthy change :(

On another note, the landlady of my local seems to have turned the whole place over to cats, there used to be stills of B&W movies on all the wallks, now one wall is pics of cats and cat related images and another is a wall of cats that need homes. The sign now has cats painted on it (portraits of the various cats the pub has owned and adopted) and there are cat silhouettes in the windows, there is even a specially commissioned cat that is named after a cat that sort of adopted the pub!!!

Anyone would think that she liked cats!!

Seems I haven't been there for a while, it is still very much going strong

Sounds like my kind of place:D:D:D:DCan't believe it's taken me 2 years to realise that you also live in London poor:eek::eek::eek::eek: xxx
