  • Thanks Sparky, that was hilarious.

I am going to brave it and go out later, so envisage finally being able to start making more contributions towards the pot tonight/tomorrow morning (I may well get pished).

I ventured out to tesco earlier for some supplies - got a loaf of bread for my elderly neighbour who gave me £2 for it and wouldn't accept any change! So in the pot it goes!

No street dancing for DS this week but I used the £4 to post my aunties birthday present.

I'm getting into this sealed pot thing now. I put 21p in this morning having found it whilst emptying my sons trousers before washing them, then I went through my purse and took out all the silver and coppers (but I left the pound coins for now) and got another £3.89, then tonight I was boasting to my husband and he found me another 75p in coppers on the shelf in the kitchen - Yippee - total for today now £4.85! The children didn't go to school today so I may well put their dinner money in the pot yet, but we'll see.

Hey, I just found another 20p in the washing machine - mine now! In the pot it goes. I think I could get quite obsessed with this pot challenge! I warned my OH and children that if the money isn't in their wallet and I find it then it goes in the pot! Maybe, just maybe we will get more than just 'modest' spends for the holiday in August. :j
