Most of the Supermarkets have coinstar machines where you just tip it in and it counts it and gives you a rec'pt that you take to customer services and it is exchanged for cash (or use at til for goods) but I think it charges something like 7p in the pound. I know where I am Tesco and Asda have them.

  • Is it too late for me to join this challenge? I need to try and save £180 by the beginning of December and this seems like the perfect way to do it.

Hi and welcome to the thread jayniep, fishcakes (no, you're not a member), gonnabedebtfree, grandmasam, Goppers, Little Miss Saving Money and Warrior Maiden, lovely to meet you. :D Enjoy yourselves with us and have great fun saving. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 2 of page 1. If you haven't already done so then read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll help you with any queries and let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. Please put your number on your sig, it helps so very much.

So pleased to hear you're both so much better now sparky. Peter Parker you said? In your case now - it's Peter Porker!!!
Sorry to sound thick, but this is my first attempt at this challenge; I was wondering, why November and not December? Not a bad thing, just curious. :)

It's a perfectly natural question, the answer being that a couple are thinking of opening theirs a little before, for Christmas shopping.

Try and rest a little in snatches then Jacqui, be careful either way!

Well done with your 'cash cow' dottydora, far better to have the patience to wait until tis dry.

Well done you Puzzled, that's a fair bit of walking each day, a great way to stay slim and keep healthy though!:T

It's lovely to see you back LC!! So pleased you enjoyed the trip to Russia, though if it hadn't have been cold it would really have had the Russian feeling now would it! Did you have a ride in one of those thingamejigs???

Sue New friends wishing to join us, please just ask below and I'll be with you ASAP.

    :whistle:Morning folks,
Usually take an old lady shopping today...but it's not going to happen.
:think:I love the snow! It gives us permission to stay home and chill!
So if I manage out of the store today that means I can put today's food money in the pot.
    :TYaaay!:T
I don't get to come on here too often.
    Too buzy money saving!
    :D
