Or how about the guy who can't understand why his document wont scan when he holds it in front of his monitor! :rotfl:

If he's holding it in front of his monitor, how can he see whether it's scanned or not?

Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

So is this just a temporary black screen or is the machine bricked until restored/reinstalled?

Mine goes in to Black Screen mode on start up, I close it down, restart it and it is fine, not sure if it is related.

I have heard of people requesting screen prints to see what the displayed error message was..they bought a digital camera and took a photo of the screen :rotfl:

    That reminds me,

I once sold some software on eBay and the buyer told me he kept getting a error message when trying to install the software. So I told him to do a screen print and email me it.

He took a picture of his screen with his camera and sent me it:rotfl::rotfl:I had a good laugh.

Anyway back on subject, Microsoft have said it's a malware problem that's causing it. Prevx have retracted their statement about it being a Microsoft Security update issue.

^Oh dear, an update for an update? :rotfl:
  • Seems Prevx have lost quite a bit of credibility over this. They've come from being quite unknown to having egg on their faces, not exaclty what I'd call a good commercial decision.
