Oh dear.
"Mr Kennerly said the firm had identified "at least 10 different scenarios which will trigger the same black screen conditions".
"These appear to have been around for years now," he said.
The firm reports that the problem affects editions of Windows 7, Vista, XP, NT, and Windows 2000.
Microsoft said that people who are affected by the problem should contact its customer service line.
A spokesperson said that the reports did "not match any known issues" documented by the firm."
Glad to see Microsoft right on top of things as usual.
The notion that Windows 7 is the answer to the world's woes was nice while it lasted.0 -

Reminds me of the story my father-in-law tells about a woman calling technical support because her screen has gone blank. The guy spends an hour on the phone walking her through everything he can think of, until she mentions that there was a power cut, and would it affect the computer?0

I imagine it's apocryphal, but it's funny nonetheless.

Remember; with Microsoft on your computer, you're in safe hands (now the Millennium has passed). :T

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
