hey SS,
Would you still go if England aren't going to be playing that semi? It looks to me that for them to be playing on July 5th they would need to be runner up in the group, could you wait another week/ even after Thursday's games to see what the likelihood is that they'll play? The way I see it if we win on Thursday we would only need a draw against Sweden to be top of the group (and the omens aren't good that we'll beat the Swedes are they?) and if Sweden draw/ lose on Thursday we will be top of the group won't we? (sorry for an inaccuracies, this information has only been gleaned from the male dominated office that i work in)Saving for an early retirement!0 -

No thats right Imelda. To play on that date we would have to come 2nd. I would still love to go anyway! If England were in it then that would be the icing on the cake.
I have to let my mate know tomorrow. Maybe Thursday at the latest! :doh:0 -
I think you should go SS, find the cheapest deal you can (people on here are great aren't they?) and have fun!Saving for an early retirement!0

For what it is worth I think that you should go. it will be another 4 years until this comes around again and by then you will be debt free and able to go in style. However, you have not done anything illegal to get into debt and you suffer enough everyday worrying about it. Your debt free date may get put back by a few hours but go for it. If it is fate I would not mind a small bet that the money will be made up in some way anyway.
Good luck and enjoy Dortmund.

Definitely go and enjoy the experience. You're doing brilliantly and won't go mad (will you?) while you're there. Set a budget and stick to it. Now SS, I cant stand football BUT there are times in the debt free journey that, in my opnion, you have to just say "stuff it"...a month later DFW or an experience that you would spend the rest of your life regretting you hadnt taken! Picture this...your mates come back from Germany and telling everyone what a great time they had...remember when X scored a goal...legendry football moments that will last a footy fan for a lifetime (why this is I really cannot tell but each to his own eh!) and you MISSED THE OPPORTUNITY!!! Dont miss it - you'll regret it forever! As others have said you can cut down elsewhere before you go and limit spending while there and cut back a while after you come back - book on quidco etc and you'll be sqaure before you know it!! Will be worth every sacrifice you make I'm sure! Hope you go - I would be gutted for you to miss such a great opportunity! Others of course may disagree but life's too short! While being DFW is a great goal it shouldnt mean that you pass up an opportunity like this!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

I'd go - you're a different person to the one who got yourself into so much debt - and you'll never repeat the same mistake. This is an opportunity not to be missed, grab it with both hands and enjoy it.0

Like someone else said, can you pay cash or will it have to go on credit? If cash, then go, if credit then personally I wouldnt ( but then I hate football!)0
