I have just read your diary from last year and feel totally inspired to achieve my goal of being debt free by the Olympics! I have had really motivated periods where I have been very DFW and have then slipped off the wagon several times.

I know that the DFW way of planning, controlling spending and paying off rather than adding to debt really does affect all aspects of your life and when I slip off then I know it has a negative affect on everything. I really do feel positive that 2010 is going to be the year that I make some real changes to my life - starting with getting back on here and having NSD's!!!! For the first time in months I know exactly how much money I have in my purse!

Well done for all you have achieved and good luck for this next year. I hope you won't mind me popping on to your diary to selfishly maintain my own motivation!

  • Ok well I'm doing well on the NSD front - another 4 last week!!! :T

I've paid another £51 off the debts so not as much I'd hoped but..:)

I also have a trial shift at the cafe which is excellent £6 an hour plus tips and its quite a busy place during the weekend I drove past a couple of times this weekend. He is offering me the earlys shift Saturday 7am - 3pm and Sunday 10am - 3pm so i should bring home another £60 a week before tips.

This means with my current minimum of £51 a month and the basic hours I've got £291 sorted of my £521 target :D
