You can shove your humble opinion up your 4rse Cleaver.
Fair enough.
He just seems to post a lot of articles (mainly positive) that seem to be pretty bread and butter stuff for this board, then everyone (bar a few such as Dopester, Generali and Hammersmashedface and I'm sure a couple of select others) just calls him a HPI tw*t or something similar.
Ah well.0 -
Should I assume that anyone has gone on the offensive at Hamish agrees with the sentiment of the quoted post?
They're all showing their true colours tonight.
They want mass unemployment. They wish for it. No, they hope for it..... Just so they can try and blag a cheaper house.
The crash isn't working out for them, year on year positives are already here on one index, and just round the corner on the others. The BoE has admitted rates will stay low for years, and population is still growing. House prices have risen for 8 months now, and show no signs of falling significantly any time soon.
So now the fear and desperation sets in.... And they hope for mass unemployment, as it's the last desperate roll of the dice for them. Their gamble has failed, and they know it.
I'm delighted this thread got them to finally admit that all the denials, all the protestations to the contrary, have all been lies.
They do wish for massive unemployment. They absolutely celebrate it.
They don't give a fig who suffers, so long as they can pay below the odds for a house.
It just shows how despicable they really are.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I my humble opinion this board is in very desparate need of a lot more decent counter-arguments to Hamish posts and a serious decrease in people just throwing insults at him.
If they had a decent counter-argument, they wouldn't need to resort to throwing insults.
It's a sign of desperation.
And the more they do it, the more obvious it becomes to everyone.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

If you didn't point the finger at people, for doing what you basically do, just in an attempt to push HPI, instead of lower house prices, maybe you wouldn't get this type of flack?0 -

Ah well.
I mean this whole thread was started by Hamish having a go at another poster - who isn't even on this site, !!!!!!!
It's possible to be bullish without being offensive. Plenty of other posters manage it.0 -
Graham is pretty much telling how I see it Hamish, and you don't do yourself any favours to be perfectly honest.0

You still don't get it do you.....
Those who wish for HPI also wish for high levels of employment, rising incomes, a strong economy, and prosperity for as many as possible, as those are the circumstances that best support the greatest levels of HPI.
Those who wish for HPC by definition also wish for recession, unemployment, reposession, and misery for as many as possible, as without those factors, they cannot have their crash.
Crashaholics are misery merchants, who revel in doom and hope for unemployment, recession and reposessions.
This thread, and the vitriol spewed by the frothing hpc-ers, has only confirmed I am right.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I get it. I just don't agree with you. Simple as.0 -
The issue with Hamish is, he came over to this board after being 'trolled' at HPC, his arguments may have held some water, however his constant rolling head smilies and 'loser' comments etc, just wound most people up, which I guess was his intention.
He's toned down the loser comments a bit lately, but he still won't admit when he's wrong, won't apologise when he is wrong (lemonjelly) and talks of the housing market like it's on the cusp of 1996 again.
It's common knowledge that he bought at peak twice, once at the peak of the last boom and again 2007, that and with is utter insistance not to look at the economic fundamentals that lie ahead of us, makes most people not take him seriously.
I'll refrain from callling him names, however his judgement is there for all to see, and both times he's been wrong, I suggest that any 'real' recovery in house prices that he advocates is also wrong. We are in deep s*it in this country and it's going to take a couple of years before the smoke clears to see just how deep we are in it.
Good enough reason not to be taken in by media ramping, money printing and short term IR policies.0 -

I'll tell you what you don't get Hamish.
Growth does not equal prosperity.0
