With the contract phones ..... sounds too good to be true but hey .. sometimes i guess these things happen.
Anyways .... it got me thinking .... i already have a contract phone with O2 and it has a fair bit of time to run and to be fair i'm happy enough on O2. However ...... i was thinking that i could get the boots phone ... Sell the handset and use the funds to pay the line rental (hopefully for a few months at least) and then claim back the points. End result would be £300 outlay for line rental, £370 back on boots points ... and £??? for selling the handset.
Has anyone done this? Anyone thinking about it? or have i missed a flaw in my plan somewhere ?
TIA.0 -

It sounds good to me but won't the person who you sell the phone to have the contract as well or can you just change sims?Start every day by telling yourself how beautiful and intelligent you are0 -

I imagine (maybe incorrectly) that they could get another SIM card to put into it ... say PAYG or something. Not sure if the phones could be unlocked easy enough to accept any network.
If nothing esle i guess i could reduce my O2 contract and use the free minutes etc on the new phone.0 -

I think that the 3 network glue the sim cards in, if not then I am sure you could get it unlocked for approx £10-£20 and put a PAYG sim into it.
Obviously you wouldnt want to sell it with the 3 sim in it as the purchaser could run up a whopping phone bill.
For what you would get for the phone, you would be better of keeping it and using the free mins/texts every month.
I ordered one last night

Saw no mulled wine or mince pies, place was packed, didnt have the toys i wanted, hardly any tills on (they must have known it would be busy), printed a voucher from ACM for 350 extra points for a £40 spend when scanned it didnt go on and was told cause it was the christmas evening it didnt apply!!! SA serving me was helpful tho, had loads of coupons which she scanned and then made sure came off and 2 gift cards (from refunds) to use which took a £92 bill down to me only having to pay 55p in cash!! Yeah, I got no wine or mince pie (boo) and as ever the toy selection was rubbish - really impressed by your spending tho. Wish I'd managed that!In a Den first, Theo Paphitis has been getting business information from a talking tree.0
