  • I think this thread is a bit of everything really..pointing people in best direction on using their vouchers, best way of accumalation advantage card points and also to inform of bargains instore and online. So yes we have to wade through a lot of posts to find a real bargain, but yet this thread is a hive of useful infomation by very helpful people (IMO).x:)
    £900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x
  • Hi all

    Popped into boots today
Advantage Card Machine gave me a voucher for 100pts off boots hair colour, I also had a £1 off voucher that had been sent in the post. The Boots hair colour is on offer for £1.69 at the moment so used the £1.00 voucher and got it for 69p.

It didn't put the extra points on though but the SA was having a bit off trouble so I didn't bother (not sure if you can use it with another offer though) but if you don't have a £1 voucher see if the machine gives you the 100pts one and you effectively get the colour for 69p!

Also you might alredy know but before you use your £5 No7 voucher check the machine cos it is giving 200 pts on the Mouse Foundation and Illuminating lotion.

Oh and also signed up for boots home prescription service to get 250pts, I got a leaflet in the post but you can print one out of the ACM, the assistant took it from me and added 250 points onto my card there and then!

 I know I have spelt 'bargain' wrong in my username!

Ive been waiting and waiting for my little book of treats - its never arrived.

so I rang boots today and lady said I registered after baby birth - which Im pretty sure I didnt. Anyway after giving my AD card number she was shocked at the number of points I had - £480 and said she would give me another £15 as Im a good customer - yippeeee

I was original poster for the boots phone offer last year so I got loads of points from that - at one point had £920 worth but been treating daughter.
Im going to order another phone today as just spotted a good offer on the 3 network netting me an additional £70 worth of free points after initial monthly payments have been taken. - £300 spend you get £370 AC points.
Ill post phone details later when Ive checked this out fully

Anyway apparently according to CS ladt I spoke to Boots have a system which grades customers by their loyalty. Green is the top level depending on how much you use them. This determines what offers you get sent, the more you use them the better your loyalty level. So the phone deal puts you up there in the top spot.(it sounded like it was based on the AC points you had on your card - so glitches not only save us money they help boost the offers we get sent )
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

  • Hi all first post but been reading for a few days :D

weaver thanks for the mobile tip .. I looked through all the Mobiles on 3 network on Boots.com and found the one I think you are speaking off:

    Sony Ericsson K608i
    12 Month Contract
    200 Cross Network Minutes
100 Free SMS messages per month
25 Free MMS messages per month

    £25 per month x 12 Months = £300
    Advantage points = 37000 = £370

So a free mobile on contract for a year and an extra £70 to spend in store :)

However it states that you get 1000 points on receipt of the phone then the further 36000 adcard points by redemption. I looked at the terms & conditions but couldnt find out how to you are supposed to redeem them or how many and when. Any ideas?

    I hope this link works:

    Hi
I have a boots mobile contract. The way mine works is 1000 points on receipt of the phone, then after I have received my 7th bill I need to send an email to Dextra - the comms company and they will credit my additional 36000 points within 21 days of receiving the email.
You do have to claim within 28 days of receiving bill 7 though or the points are lost.
My 7th bill is due next week, so hopefully i'll have the points in time for xmas shopping.
