I got the same reply to my email. I did my trick of asking about "the car" aswell not "the corsa for £3100" and he replied about the corsa so at least he only has one scam car going at this time. or this email is for "the corsa"

message headers said AOL america and Yahoo Ireland Belfast, but no originating IP address that I could pick out.

    He's keen.

    I already got a reply.

    Hello,

The car is in Aircargo Express CDS posession and the transaction will run secured and insured by them. The car will be shipped from here on my expense directly to your door. The shipping will take 4-5 business days.

First of all, the vehicle will be insured during transit so no damage can occur. Don't worry about that.
Secondly, you will receive all appropriate documents along with the vehicle. Naturally, I will sign the section 8 in the V5 form so you can easily transfer the car into your name.
Thirdly, since I presume you are not familiar with Express CDS Protection Program, I have briefly described the transaction steps below:

    1. Buyer, seller reach an agreement (price and delivery conditions)
    2. Buyer sends money to Express Car Delivery System.
    3. Express CDS confirms to seller that the amount has been received.
    4. Seller performs the required services (shipping, insurance).
    5. Buyer accepts delivery and informs Express CDS about the acceptance.
    6. Express CDS releases the money to seller.

As you can see, you will receive the car BEFORE any money is released to me. You will get the chance to inspect it, test drive it and everything you like while your money is still safely held in Express CDS's account. ONLY after you confirm to them that you agree with the vehicle, they will release the money to me.

If, for some reason, you disagree with the car (I assure you that is NOT going to happen since the vehicle is in IMMACULATE condition inside and out) it will be shipped back to me on MY EXPENSE and the shipping company will send your money back to you.

From the moment you receive the car you have 5 days to inspect it. If is not like I said or something is not ok with it you can reject it and you will be fully refunded and the vehicle will be shipped back to me, on my expense.

Aircargo Express CDS will transfer the money to me, only after you will confirm them the purchase of the vehicle. Until then, the payment will be verified and secured in a non-interest bearing trust account.
After the payment is checked and secured they will proceed with the shipping .
If you agree with this send me you full name and shipping address so i can contact the Express CDS to initiate the transaction.

    Best Regards,
    Octavian

I see I have to part with money first, quelle surprise!

I will try to see if I can find out where he is in Italy with a view to offering to see the car and drive it home.

    ETA: Sent him this.

    Hi Octavian

That all sounds a bit complicated.

    Whereabouts in Italy are you?

I may be able to come and collect the car myself and pay you cash (Euros) at that time.

    Thanks Andrew

I tried to look at the Express Car Delivery Serice homepage and the filter here blocked it as 'phishing' site.:rotfl:

The quoted letter is almost word for word:rotfl::rotfl:.

I still think I'll string him along a bit more.

    My reply

    Hi Octavian,

Ok so not as simple as I thought it might be, I guess to get a bargain you have to do some extra work, no such thing as a free lunch, as they say!

Before we go any further I will need to see some pretty comprehensive photos of the car from all angles and inside, and under the bonnet, no point wasting my time if it is not in good condition...

Also a picture of the V5, I assume it is still on UK plates?

New job in Italy? That sounds nice, where are you working?

Cheers till next time, can't wait for the pics....
