Count me in please- and thanks as usual for all the support.

Mudbath/HollyH - I love the elf idea, just not sure I am going to have time.

mumoftwo - it is only so the star list ends up third post or we all get a bit confused. Do not fret, we have all done it at some point!

I'm in - though the kitchen is still a 'hole, OH hasn't finished the new units as he doesn't have a blade for his hacksaw to cut the worktop..

I do however plan to start on th lounge ths evening - will make a change for me to be ahead of the list.

Hope everyone had a good weekend - and special thanks to Piggers, Toots and Soappie for all the hard work.

hi hun - I dont know what your financial situation is - but ironing is much easier if you have one of those press things rather than traditional iron and board. I get DLA (mobility only at higher rate ) and i know i can get a dry or steam press for about 4 weeks DLA.
washing is done when there is a full load (for economy) which as there is only two of us works out at about 5 loads per week counting bedding.
I dont iron anything which doesnt show - that includes bedding - which comes out of tumble dryer folded then put under the pile in airing cupboard - which flattens it nicely!
I have a set day for bathroom and kitchen - but tend to wipe around as i go along which means less time doing a good thorough clean. other rooms are done on an 'as needed' basis.
when you dont feel up to it hun - dont do it! more important that you rest than to do housework. and i would look into getting some help with housework via social services or ME charities. best wishes hun

  • thanks as ever to pigpen, toots and soappie and the ever so wonderful PenPen - who does magic with the wave of her wand!!!!
Sexym - sooo glad you are feeling better, long may it continue
Toots - you sounded really tired last night, don't do too much, glad you had a fab lunch.
Quillion/toots - mum's are meant to pains arn't they?! That's my excuse to my kids and am sticking to it!!!!
AnW'sMum - glad they are feeling a bit better, rubbish when they are ill as you feel so useless!
Jinks - are you ok? You sounded down on FB; missing friends etc
PigPen - some dad's are sh$te with their kids when you split, well done you for sticking to your principles and having dignity in the face of adversity
Soappie - glad your ankle is feeling a bit better, how are DS and DIL getting on in their new place? How's DD - has she gotton over him now?
Rose - hope you ok, you have to try and be more positive, I know it's hard look at me the last couple of weeks and you all have been absolutely marvelous, we are your friends we just want to help you to help yourself. God I'm cack-handed (and I am too in real life - a lefty!) at this stuff in writing, I say it so much better face to face. Anywat love and hugs x

Have s/s'd everywhere but no big clean, changed our bedding and done 3 loads of washing, apart from that flip all!! Went to see Al Murray last night - hr was fab, laughed until I cried - just what the doctor ordered!!

DH's X texted to say DD wanted to speak to him - she won't let DD waste her credit to ring. So he duly rang both their phones and no answer, so texted back saying the above. Finaly got through to her and her mum has again told her she is a sh$t and she should come and live here (they live in Newcastle we live in West Yorkshire!!!! WFT - you don't say that to an impressionable 14 year old. She isn't an angel - but show me a child of that age that is!!!! She wouldn't let her come anyway as she'd lose too much in credits etc. She doesn't want to as doesn't want to leave friends, we had her for a week end of last year when we had to pick her up in the early hours of the morning as it was all kicking off, even got her a place at the school my neices go to, but in the end she didn't want to leave mates and her mum thought better of it. Could possibly tip me over the edge as well!!! LOL But hey; we had them so we have to look after them; the more the merrier I suppose. We could always live in the tent in the garden!!!!

Normalish service has been resumed - so sorry for my rants/letting of steam/crying this last week or so. Love and hugs all round xxx
