Didn't mean to offend, I made the assumption from your post that you was either misinformed or an idiot, evidently you're not so please accept my unreserved apology.
Maybe if you'd said I'm aware of gas regs and 'damp' issues in your 1st post you wouldn't have had half the unnecessary responses

Dampski dave is correct...the vents are there for a reason. I have them in all my bedrooms.0

The vents were there for a reason when the house was first built. If its an older house but you now have central heating, you don't still need the vents.0
