Contacted them over this, said as long as form is received they will honour 4% even for future dated transfer
  • Ha, you've beat me to it Hobo.

Just spoken to a very nice lady called Hazel who double checked with the transfer team.

Yes, you have until 6th April to get your transfer forms in and they will honour the Issue 9 rate. I was worried as my ISA didn't mature until 7th April, obviously the new tax year, but she verified again this was o.k.

Told her I'd posted my form on Friday. she took my details name, address &tel. no. and put me into their system. They will send me an acknowlegement letter when they receive the forms, she said if I was worried to ring up in a few days just to check the forms had arrived. Obviously she could hear I was rather anxious:eek:

I had terrible visions of my money floating about in limbo if they didn't accept it or getting a lower rate than I would have done if I'd stayed with LLoyds.

She did remind me though that if I wanted to post this info to others that it will be Easter holiday week to be sure to get them off in good time.

You can forgive me about being a tad paranoid as when going on-line to pay Visa bill, found out there was a fraudulent transaction!!!!!
Rang up and now have had to be re-issued with new cards. Only got the flaming things last month!!!!
So, whoever has just put £30 worth of pre-paid credit on an O2 phone, hope it detonates:mad::mad::mad:

If all you're doing is a transfer then sending the form is sufficient.

Sent my form in a week ago.
Do they aknowledge receipt of the transfer form, or do you have to wait until the money is transferred before hearing anything ?

    So, in summary all:

    - we can apply for the M&S 4% 3yr ISA
    - Submit a transfer form

How do i let them know i want the transfer to occur AFTER the 6th Apr 2010, so my current ISA has matured?

Write it on the ISA transfer form.
  • The advice on this ISA has been brilliant but I'm puzzled to know why posters don't read the previous posts.

Most of the questions asked now have been answered earlier. usually on the same page.

However many thanks to other posters who kindly answer again.

Just rang up about this M&S Issue 9 ISA and was told it is ending soon and a new (Issue 10?) will be issued on 6th April. They were unable to say wether the rate will be higher or lower......:(

Any bets which way it will go?

On the transfer form under heading 3, tick the yes box "notice period". Write what date you want the transfer to take place in the box and cross out "days" and write "On Maturity"

This is what I was told to do when I phoned up M&S for advice while filling in the transfer form, although other posters have wrote "On Maturity" in the box and wrote the date of transfer next to the box. I'm sure both ways are acceptable.
