I had enough of being mucked about for over 4 months and have sent my letter to the FOS,I offered Lloyds the chance of paying me £4K rather than the full £7K but still being sent around in never ending circles.
Fingers and everything crossed!0 -

Fingers crossed for you Diddles, I don't blame you, they've had ample time, also mention to FOS about distress and inconvenience compensation as well due to this, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thankyou I will, why do companies do this? It just leaves the customer with a bad taste in the mouth and want to take them to the cleaners, they could at least show some honesty upfront.

I was working out what my loans would have cost me if they had run the full course rather than refiancing them.
1st loan £15K @7.9% over 5 years with all the PPI added meant £21K I refianced and borrowed another £2K after a year so £17K @11.9% over 7 years with PPI meant £30K!!!!!!!!!! I cancelled PPI a couple of years ago and still had £15K over 42 payments.
I asked the FOS that I could be put back into the position If I hadnt taken PPI to start with.If anyone could help would I just get the PPI back (£7K) which was two seperate lump sumps upfront or PPI plus the massive interest (£18Kish)?

Hi there.
If the 2 loans are settled and done with then you should receive ALL you have paid in PPI and the interest, you can also request for the 8% of what a court would award for being deprived of your money, as you been out of pocket due to this.
When you settled the first loan to have the other, they may have possibly rebated so much of it into a lower settlement, then minus that, then the remainder you can reclaim, but if they did not rebate (by lowering the settlement amount) you should get the full whack back of the PPI from the first and the 2nd one.
Hope this helps.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hello All,
I got 2 letters today regarding my PPI reclaim, They have agreed to pay back all the PPI that I have paid plus 8% interest less any rebates made when I refinanced the loans. Is the interest amount correct as none of my loans had an interest rate of less than 8.9% one was 14.9%!! I have a current loan which they will take the PPI off of and reduce my payments as well. But on none of the paperwork do I get a proper figure and they want me to sign to say that I accept it in 'full and final payment' would this be correct?
I have roughly worked out what I paid in instalments which comes to £4727.81 minus rebates of £1169.18 which leaves £3558.63 plus 8% simple interest which if it is times 8% comes to £284.69 giving a grand total of £3843.32. This does not seem a great deal to me especially when I think of the interest rates I was on! Do you think this is correct?
Also on my loan that I claimed on they say they reject my claim of mis selling but after a lot of waffle they say that they would be willing to offer a more favourable pro rata rebate as I had refinanced this loan too! And offer me £533.67
This was after agreeing that all my other loans were mis sold! I am thinking of taking that one to the FOS but would appreciate any advice on all of this please.
Thank you for reading my rather long post.0 -
Snap!
I was offered £1,700 but I have paid over £7,000. I was tempted to take it as I could have done with the money but I dont think its a fair offer so I have gone to the FOS. I dont care how much I would get if I win my case, I just want it to be more than £1,700 so I can tell them up youres.
