Had planned another NSD today and was at the bus stop, 10 minutes from home when OH turned up and "dragged " me to S*merfields to buy a half price leg of lamb
, also picked up some whoopsied spring rolls - 2 lots @ 19p each and onion bhajis for 28P in the passing. So all have been squeezed into the freezer.
The lamb we will have in January with other meats when we have all the family over as we are away Christmas & New Year.
OH wanted to get 2 but just no space in the freezer
Signature updated accordingly.0 -

Two naughty cooking nights where dinner revolved mostly around Eggs and Oven Chips:o. Ie Tuesday evening Egg, chips & Beans , Weds evening, Cheese Omelette, Peas and Chips. In my defense I haven't been feeling 100% and am beginning to wonder if I have some bug or other.
I usually do that by about a Thursday elizbunny- have an easy tea for a change or just because I can't be bothered cooking much
Hope you feel better soon.0 -
Mmmmm.....I already seem to have spent £71.37 of my £100 bugdet. I have brought quite a lot of stuff for entertaining, but I really don't understand how I managed to spend £71.37. Too much snack food for comfort eating (split up with my boyfriend
) may have something to do with it! Luckily I have a full freezer and my mum and dad are feeding me over christmas, so hopefully I won't actually go over budget. Well that's the plan anyway!

So far so good. I have managed to get to the midweek point without spending a penny (not since Saturday). I have taken lunch in every day, sandwiches on Monday and Tuesday and a really yummy home made sweet potato soup (made by hubby) today. I take herbal tea bags in to see me through the day and I have rediscovered the 'joys' of drinking water. I'm running low on fruit, but have enough to last until the weekend. I have a few of bruised apples that the 'old' me would have thrown away, and I'm planning to make a pear and apple crumble. Two more days and I will have had a no spend week. :T0

Well another £26.50 spent today & I am getting seriously worried now! This included £2 on After Eights which I am sure I have already bought but cannot find, more tins of tuna which I didn't really need but were on offer at Mr T's & reduced meat from Co-Op which admittedly was on very cheap but did I need it? No probably not because the freezer is full, so full that I can't be bothered to empty it all out again to do a stock check on it! Whoo, another NSD for me
Tonight's tea was an omelette, and I now feel caught up ready to begin my shopping list for next week. Hopefully I'll have about £30 worth of Nectar vouchers for additional Christmas buys, which will be very useful indeed
