I'll have the kids next weekend Linda - not that I mind bringing them but it's hard work keeping them in check in public places if my voice still isn't back. :(

    Evening!

Pepe, hope your son's ok. My sister's a biker and says that they have far better road sense than car drivers because they know they'll come off so much worse if there's an accident. Of course, there's nothing you can do about all the other idiots on the road.

Tenmah, hope everything dries out and you're not left with pink walls!

I went into town... Went into BHS for tights and came out with tights and this:

    http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/831259/220574

It's a lot brighter in RL, more of a hot pink, and it's gorgeous! I've been looking on ebay for a winter coat, and since this was only £26 I snapped it up.

Then went to the Borders 'everything must go closing down sale', saw the '50% off everything' sign and filled a basket.. then checked with an assistant and books, dvds, games and cds are all 20% off, unless otherwise marked (I didn't see anything otherwise marked). So I left without buying anything - it's still cheaper on amazon/waterstones online, even for stuff that doesn't get a big discount. And you get it delivered instead of having to lug it home. I think I'll keep an eye on it though in case they do have a closing down sale where there's real discounts.

Does anyone know where you can get cheap colourful tights? I want some red/purple ones, but the only ones they had in BHS in my size were £8.50 a pair, which is way more than I'll pay.

Or H&M, New Look, anywhere really that sells tights. Even found them in Asda before.

Thanks, I'll look in those places. In fact, I'm on Asda's site now looking at jumpers...

Don't think Primark go up to my size though, I'm an 18/xl in most shops but their sizes are on the small side.

Ames, I have the problem of being a chunk, and they do fit, just get them a bit bigger (so get the xl and stretch a bit!) Adsa's weren't too bad, but cos I have big feet they always rip open at the toes as they can't cope with a 32inch leg and size 8 feet...poor tights.

Think I made my best purchase EVER today. Finally got me a iPod nano, it's purple and luscious
