to help make tights last longer.... wet them, wring them out and then FREEZE them. the next day defrost and it helps prevent holes & ladders!

Always remember my granny telling me about this when I found her blinking new stockings scrunched up next to the peas in the freezer:eek:

BB hope you didn't get too wet hun walking charlie, is he friendly with children btw? B would love to come across and take him for a walk (when its not raining of course ;) )

got to see ex and Charlie and it was lashing down - really awful so decision was made for him to only have 1 walk today. He looked most put out :rotfl:

He is child friendly in that he is very gentle with them when they give him treats etc. He is a bit of a wuss though when children want to stroke him - he hides behind me :rotfl:I think Bea and Charlie would get along fine - he loves sitting down and being fed treats - sometimes when I see a child interested and wanting to stroke him I say to ask Mum/Dad first and then they stroke Charlie. Often children wave their hands above his head which confuses him - he thinks there is food up there :rotfl:so I say to put their hand flat and to stroke under the chin and he'll then sit and let them give him a biscuit. :D

It's vile out there. Went to Tesco to get my class ingredients and the car park was like a river.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • Ames - Evans have brightly coloured tights at £5 per pair. I'd guess a size 1 would be an 18.

*wonders if Evans is on quidco*

Elfen, I only buy mens socks. For some reason I find women's always shrink in the wash, whereas mens from the same store (supermarket usually...) are fine. One of life's mysteries!

Cat, freezing tights? Strange... I'll try and remember to give it a go!

I got a graze box today, it had korean rice crackers in. Had being the key word there..
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
