Sky suddenly giving me the wrong local news?!

I receive my tv reception via a sky dish and up until this week (I think) have received my local news station during BBC bulletins without problems. Now I am suddenly receiving local news for London! Any ideas??

    Get your remote,press-
    Services
    4
    0
    1
    select
    new install
then follow the on screen prompts.
  • Thanks but when I press '4' in services, it doesn't then give me the option of going to '0'? The options start from 1?

It's a secret menu, you need to follow that instruction to get it.

Or just phone Sky (free if you have Skytalk) & they'll resend settings to your box.......
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!

Indeed, look at the remote control, not the screen when you press the buttons.
  • Thanks for that. It's taking me through to the 'Callback' stage, but then I get a message saying 'callback failed'?

Try again, you are doing something wrong, press the advised remote control buttons as suggested above.

Dont worry about the callback,it's the scanning bit, just press back up to exit,

Look on 800, 801 etc. Your receiver may have put what it considers to be duplicate channels up starting at 800. Hopefully this will be the main BBC channels for your area.

Then see if there is a way of swapping the BBC channels to get them in the right place.
