Thanks for all the feedback!Nice site.
Wouldn't it be good when searching "last 5 years" lists if they came in date order too though?
We'll see if this is possible - but most likely will be in the future. It's too easy to get to a place with no basic tunechecker menu because it's in the search results pane ...not seperate, There should be a basic menu always on view so you can get home at least to start over. It's not obvious to click the "tunechecker" to get the menu back. A small dropdown menu in the header wouldn't hurt.
You should get a Tunechecker Menu (with stars on either side) on each page. Can you not see this, or do you think it's not obvious enough that'll take you back?0 -
None of the FAQ links work in Opera.
FAIL.

Touch of clever DHTML there which Opera sometimes dislikes.
No need for anything flashy for a vital thing like FAQ...you're right.

Is the "Listen to sample track" supposed to work yet?
All it does for me is scroll down the centre frame search box when I click it.
Firefox 3.5.4 on Ubuntu
Thanks -yes it should be working. You have to click twice to actually hear the sample as that's the way Amazon's sample is designed.

Having problems loading up in standard IE browser.
I think I would like the MSE wepage logo to look more like the MSE site banner (have a smiling Martin again?) or something as my first thought was it didn't look enough like part of the MSE brand, IYKWIM, more like a possible fake claim of the link to MSE.Debt at highest: £8k. I'm not keen on the website design. It seems messy to me.
I've always used www.find-cd.co.uk when searching for music and much prefer the way that is laid out. Although that doesn't have the choice opf places to download from so isn't directly comparable. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
When/if we buy tracks do we then own them and can copy to cd's and play in car etc?Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Appears when I click on the "Listen to sample track" a new frame opens below the price comparison with the address "http://www.tunechecker.com/amazon.php?asin=B002BZLKF6" however nothing is visible, screeny:0 -
Very nice site!
A handful of immediate minor grumbles:
1. Bit rate! Comparing price is little use to the more anal music listeners if they don't know the bit rate of the file.
2. It's a little bit cramped. Having a frame in the middle of a webpage for searching and results probably adapts well to mobile phones but it seems constrained for we folk with widescreen monitors.
3. Just checked a, reasonably obscure, artist ("Leona Naess") and the backend database does well but it has its faults (the single "Heavy Like Sunday" is identified as an album for example). I'm guessing the bods at MSE can't do anything about these foibles since data is being taken from retailer websites."The state is the great fiction by which everybody seeks to live at the expense of everybody else." -- Frederic Bastiat, 1848.0
