Yippee! If you had that yesterday, we'll have it today. I thought things felt different when I woke up about half an hour ago.:D
It's not often I quote me, or admit I was wrong...........but all we had today was the fog that you now seem to have, PN!:o
Maybe t-shirt & shorts tomorrow then. (Yeah, OK, + thermals):D0 -
Despite the snow its been not cold yesterday at least. Before yesterday I've been wearing pyjamas under my trousers to go out, with somany layers on my arms couldn't touch my sides, but yesterday I went out with three quarter length trousers on and just a t shirt and jacket. Also the water trough deforsted and though it has chunks of ice in it its not refrozen.
The fish pond will hopefully fully thaw soon, keeping the dogs of it has been a pretty frustrating exercise....they know its not allowed but it seems iresistable to them.
Today felt colder than yesterday I think....because of the dampness, though its been bitterly cold its been DRY and thats so bless-ed I can't rejoice enough!0 -
"The snow on Monday was 3", but today (wed) it has gone very quickly; we are having beautiful weather.....................................................................we had finished lambing before we had the bad weather."
Ah fond memories of lambs being born at Easter; but that is farming economics EU style for you.0 -

Lambing season seems longer, rather than just earlier. Have seen only one set of lambs round here, and the big issue on farming friends minds is the impact this will have on live lamb rate this spring, as many ewes will have suffered from the poor g considerablyrisks impactinnutrition which risks impacting on size and numbers.
Lambing always USED to coincide well with the term dates of vet schools.0 -
It's rained all blooming day here which is helping to get rid of the snow we had but also causing huge puddles everywhere!
Not sure what I prefer to be honest....the being able to go 30mph on the roads but get soaked through as soon as you leave the car or the having to go 10mph on the roads and trudge through snow but at least stay dry.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Well, in the coldest winter in 3000 years or whatever it is, I have still had NO snow!We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung

Ok i give in.... where are you?
Our cul de sac has been snow/ice/snow/ice/snow/ ice since 18th Dec and I'm bored now. Bottom of road is full of the top of the road's cars who can't make it back home and top of road is full of wheely bins frozen to the turning circle. Once out, road at bottom is a bit better and main road is fine.Murphy was an optimist!!!0 -

Loads of snow here still, despite 12 hours of rain. But... most paths are now clear of snow! And almost all roads! Yaay!“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
