That smiley disturbs me every time I see it. Looks like he's putting a giant turd in front of the other guy who then eats it.

LIR I get a vision that you are very much like the woman in the Wylde family in Emmerdale (I forget her screen name but her that's married to Mark). Are you anything like her? I imagine you living in a Home Farm type place with a millionaire 'DH' (as you refer to him) and have horses and a 59-plate Range Rover Vogue and a kid called Will (all posh people have a kid called Will). Am I warm?

I don't know, I've never seen emmerdale!
Farm...not yet.....DH..millionaire? um, if so he's holding out on me! (and he won't be if he keeps asking for expesive shellfish suppers!) Not for the time being, no. Horses...check. Our Landrover is...er...1988 model I think :rotfl:and I'm childless...but I have cats and a dog, none of which is called Will.0 -

Oooohh, I wanted to call my youngest son William but then discovered my sister had claimed that name for one of her children plus hubby really didn't want it.
He has it as one of his middle names though....
Does that make me semi posh? :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

DH is tucking into a bowl of shell fish pasta, of course cooked here, but if I said how much the shellfish were PN would come after me with a gun.
Which reminds me...I need to PM pn.
If you do sufficient quantities, it works out cheaper.
I bake approx 100 every Christmas and it certainly works out an awful lot cheaper than buying them.We made it! Yes, I think thats probably right. but to just whip up a dozen or two is not always cost effective. I'm not sure how many Tomterm is planning on eating.....:D

I have great fun making them, takes up most of Christmas Eve and sometimes into the early hours of Christmas day.
Have to do such large quantities as they go down to my parents and it is pretty much open house down there over the Christmas period with oodles of people popping in.
I love making them all though.
I must admit to cheating on the Christmas cake this year, usually make it from scratch and produce this huge thing that weighs in excess of 10lbs but just couldn't afford to do it last year and felt so guilty at my parents having to add an extra thing to the shopping list, so this year, I have managed to pick up a Jane Asher kit which was on special offer in Morrisons a month or so back...it even includes the cake tin, ribbon, cutting tools and icing! We made it! Thank fuly, our mince tarting is out of the way by then, certainly by the morning of christmas eve. We are ''asked'' (read its compulsory to give) to bake for the village stuff on Christ mas eve, but I have that done maily the night before. In Italy I did a huge batch of mince pies (literally hundreds,, having carted over cheap tubs of mince meat) in my cantankerous oven...surprisingly everyong loved them and wanted more, then more!
