    Hm, my waiste is about to suffer substantial inflation as I have discovered that a massivvveee tin of chocolate that is normally £8 a tin is currently available for £4. Very money savers.

    Have also bought mince pies.

    In our case, I was being euphamistic, it feels ike it might be a winterbourne, but i think its probably just flooding. It does have a current though. Its never been there before.

    Don't bother, I'll ask her myself.

    Property boom is officially back - New build round corner from me sold for 299k in April 2007 - just put back on the market for 365k and sold in a fortnight. It is 1 of a set of 6 small terraces which all rent for about 1250pcm so I guess they are investing on the basis of capital gains - generous of them to share any potential capital gains with the tenants in my opinion (do the maths and this will make sense), without such rent subsidy by magnanimous BTL landlords rents would be a lot higher.

    Sainsburys 8 mince pies for a quid - how much would a jar of mincemeat, flour, sugar, shortening etc have cost?
