The £800 ish will do 2 weeks with my parents discount! A week is around £500 ish but they can get extra discounts for having 2 weeks. Plus we find two weeks recharges the batteries more as it takes most of the first week to settle the two youngest down and get them enjoying things.
Once there, I use my normal weekly money for spending.

Sue: do you think you can handle the ''stuff'' if we set up a PO box or something?
To be honest, I am not sure!
I'm still really overwhelmed with all this, I can't think straight. All of you have had me in tears (nice tears this time) at the genuine help and concern on this thread...it really is mind blowing. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I'm moving soon - Sue if you were able to come round and sort / pack I am sure there is enough stuff that we don't need any more you could take away to ebay to make it extremely lucrative (you would have to contend with the Mrs wanting to keep it even tho we will never use it ever again just cos we paid for it but that is another story). Could also probably get my parents to do you mates rates on their holiday let in Devon.
PS only about 6 months after agreeing sale and purchase we exchanged today
Congratulations Michaels. And that's a great offer....Sue might find it hard with the kids though, getting to you...any one closer to you able to do it and Sue could just pick it up?:o0 -

Oh silly-sue, don't worry about it. We're enjoying ourselves, can't you tell? We feel good doing it, you'll be helping us out sorting this stuff out.
Do you want to think about it?0 -
BTW, the length of holiday thing is a perfect example of how we all see things differently- my kids can only really cope with 5-7 days because their hyper-ness increases over the course- where as yours, sue, need time to settle
If you want any help, let us know the specifics before any of usjump to conclusions

I think the thing I'm missing is the discount- where? - is in on a particular site they own on, or via a specific chain on which they have a holiday home? If its the former then obviously I can't help as it would be site/owner specific, if the latter there is a possibility of a deal?

It is a particular holiday group, as owners of a caravan on one site, they are entitled to a range of discounts for friends and relatives plus themselves.
We go to the same site (near Great Yarmouth if anyone is interested, not far from home so travel costs are nice and cheap) that they have their caravan on because then I can access some extra help, both emotionally and physically (plus they do a good line in a cooked breakfast! :rotfl:) but unfortunately, we can't all fit in the same caravan. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. Is it an English thing?
I am truly baffled.
Sue said it would take a grand, I took it for granted she had looked into it
I am getting really bored with the whole save fivepence thing.
Can we move on?Retail is the only therapy that works0 -
OK, as site owners then I presume they already have access to whos renting what out during which dates etc, so the price you quote is the price to pay... hmmmm, will think onWe cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung
