I'm trying to wean myself off MSE :o, return to 'normal' life! Didn't plan to be on here tonight, but the volume of my neighbours party means I cannot hear the telly, & too distracting to read

Every now and then everyone seems to decide they are overdoing the whole forum bit. I never really understand why.

Go batter on the neighbours door, make sure you are wearing curlers and a dressing gown. For maximum effect take a crying baby with you (borrow one, if necessary).

I hate inconsiderate sods who have loud parties without inviting the whole street.

There is nothing like a knees-up followed by a huge row out in the middle of the cul-de-sac.

Well, I wasn't invited, but I was apologetically warned :rotfl:.... it is their kids 16th birthday party, there have been a few shreiking girls out on the street earlier, but the music is now turned off - or perhaps just right down, and anyone else leaving seems to be making a fairly quiet exit .... all a bit boring now really, I was hoping for a bit of a punch up too! :D

Nice people, following on...though jumping thread, from the Noho, soho, Fitrvia and Southbank discussion (that sounds like a firm of solicitors...) any one got any ideas for a venue for a gathering, preferably walking distance from Knightsbridge tube..smallish venue to hire for a party? Must have a license(pref drinks and live music, but could do without music license if have to... )....hoping to avoid a restaurant.....

I suspect you may not be the type of guest LIR is thinking of inviting.

Knightsbridge and her hubby, would never recover

EDIT, I just read her post, I thought she was talking about some kind of barristers gathering. Is she talking about us? Knightsbridge? LIR, have you gone bonkers?

DH might never recover...you're right, (and he's not a barrister ;)) but no, its for neither other lawyers or for ''us'' but for something else entirely! I'm just using other peoples Knowledge...none of the things I might normally think of are ...hitting the spot...for this ''event''.

I think we're more a two for one pizza deal gathering in a living room (free) or better park (free and nuetral public space....) don't you...?:D
