    That's quite astonishingly intelligent for 4.50am. :)

    OK its pub quiz time:

Who is the best selling author in Britain?
    Easy:

Who is the 2nd best selling author in Britain?
    Would you believe:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Brown

And the bronze goes to which best selling author in Britain?
Now you are getting to my intellectual level:

Mind you I was a Magic Roundabout person

I was a Magic Roundabout user, back in the days when that wasn't its official name. It was worth crossing it to reach a girlfriend in Swindon, but going home again, especially in the fog that lurks in that area, was always an interesting and fairly random experience.

On one of those trips home, at around two in the morning, a few miles out of Swindon, I was creeping along a small road I didn't mean to take, when much debris became visible in the murk. It lead to a hole in the hedge where my headlights could just pick-out an upturned car. Fearing for the worst, I crawled in through a missing window, but there was nobody inside. A voice behind me made my hair stand on end, but the person was just saying that she was OK.

I found I was talking to a girl of around 16-18, who had no clothes, apart from a T shirt and a pair of pants. Then this man, I thought about twice her age arrived, pleased that he'd found a shoe. He was very drunk. Putting 2 & 2 together, I asked the girl if she'd rather stay and look for her belongings or, if she liked, I'd get her home. She took the get-home option, but I think anyone would have done that in those temperatures!

We left the man. If someone is sick in a car, the smell never leaves.:(

She said she'd been out with her bloke & they'd been going too fast, (in more ways than one!) She didn't know where they'd crashed and nor did I, but at least we found her home in Swindon. Being a coward, I'm afraid left her at the gate to sort out the problem of waking the parents and explaining!:o
  • There was a "lady developer" on Homes under the Hammer one morning that had a whole girly pink toolbox, containing girly things and a few cr4ppy tools. She bought one of those 1-bed houses where you get four in a square and each is a corner, with a spiral staircase to upstairs. If I was on my other PC I could dig out how well she did ... I am sure I recall a loss situation.

We're basicaly doing a homes under the hammer house now but I'm very good with money and we've got lots of skills between us so we're not paying anybody else for work other than window fitters and the plumber but OH is getting into plumbing now too.

In today's Market prices if it was finished today and sold tomorrow then we would make 45k over what we'll have spent.

We're doing it gradualy though as we can afford to and living in it at the same time. We knew our first would be hard and financialy tight but the next one we'll be able to go into with enough cash to do the work as soon as we want.

The tools I want are made by Rolson so should be pretty good but I have had some very crap little sets in the past when living with my ex. All my other halfs tools are CK which are so expensive, but he's fussy.

I watched grand designs once and the woman had a pink hard hat and high viz vest, that's gotta be pretty funky.

I just couldn't have anything pink.....far too girly.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

My OH bought me a pink toolset.

Sadly, though, other than him nicking a few of the tools when he couldn't find his own, I don't think it's been used yet. :o

My ex OH bought me a drill/screwdriver combo....when we had divorced!

Think it was the boys telling him about my fitting a new light fitting with a knife which did it :rotfl:
