And another reason why I'm highly protective of my identity, etc. It's much better, imo, to err on the side of caution than to get too carried away on personal matters.

Once upon a time I was tracked down online. I don't think he was actually a nutter, just someone with too much time on his hands and an inflated opinion of his own intelligence.

Believe it or not, I am actually far more cautious these days. Or at least I hope so. No location, no identifiable job details and just enough detail fudged that I have built in deniability.

Having said that, anyone who actually knew me offline, would recognise me within half a dozen posts.

It's good to get your eyes opened now and again as we can all get tied up in our own little worlds that even people living in our own society seem different never mind other country's :)

The really scarey thing is I recognised myself in those young girls. I had never really realised how influenced I have been by a culture I don't consider myself part of anymore.

Sjay once asked me how I kept body and soul together. She said I didn't really remind her of a typical driven career woman. I found it really hard to answer her. I knew she was right but I couldn't explain, to either of us, why I wasn't typical

Last night, for the first time I could.

I was brought up to get married at seventeen and dumb as it sounds, I didn't realise it until I watched those young girls.

I could completely identify with them. And God knows my heart broke for them.

It was an extremely educational hour for me.

You honestly don't own a single screwdriver? You'd hate Ikea then.
I minimised my life .... extreme minimalism. Think .... less than you could carry if your house was on fire ... THAT extreme.

I am of no fixed abode, so not in a position to accumulate stuff ... well, that was how things went but now I've had to rent a tiny locker for some stuff. Can't remember what's in that to be honest, but it must be worth more than the storage cost or I'd have not bothered.

    So, no, no screwdrivers.

I know of two other posters who live in my little area, one who reccommended a tradesman to me and gave me his own name to use and even his road. Plus carolt whose nearby and then there is another trademan (loacllish) who did some work for me - so he knows my name, address and has actually met me. Scarey when you think you are safe under an ID - my cars not even silver!

You'd be better suited as Mr Anderson a la The Matrix.

Don't ask me why. Insight isn't my strong point
