I used to go out with a barrister. He lived in Knights Row, read PG Wodehouse and owned a chaise longue.

He was into bondage so it didn't work out.

No honestly, lets think seriously here. It must be exhausting to be a dom, you're the one who has to keep thinking up stuff.

The sub just has to lie there and behave.

He liked to be dominated(!?), I'd assumed it was the other way around! :o

I think I'd have trust issues as a sub, I prefer to be in control. :)

He wanted to kneel at my feet. As I said before, public school. Not that it didn't have its attractions but after they have cleaned the house wearing your underwear, whats the point?

Wouldn't you find the whole dom/sub thing totally exhausting?

    Or is that just me?

I'd have thought most women would be pleased just to have a guy clean the house, regardless of what he's wearing.

In all seriousness, exhausting, no. Lack respect for the person wanting to walk around in my underwear and kneel at my feet, yes. Especially if it developed from bondage to more of a sadomasochistic relationship - I wouldn't enjoy that.

Isn't bondage sadomadothingy? Or am I being naive?

I watched a film once on channel 4 (Liz Hurley was in it and I think Peter Moore). It was about the seven deadly sins.

Satan as to why he rebelled....

OK, I spent millenia at Gods feet worshipping then I got bored. I wanted it to be my turn on top.

    Human.....

    What was wrong with that?

    Satan........

    Exactly

I kinda see the whole dom/sub thing the same

Bondage, being restrained/ tied up. Domination, him kneeling at your feet, obeying orders, being submissive. Sadomadothingy, inflicting pain. I think you've described the first two. Not that I'm an expert, mind!

Desire, ambition, wanting to be on top, I can understand. Perhaps the submissive one somehow feels in control, or maybe it's simply down time?

I confess to not quite following the last part of your post.........:o

I was trying to describe how a person would get bored with always playing the one role. Or I think I was.

It has dawned on me (belatedly) that this might not be an entirely appropriate topic for a family forum. That and the fact , I can hear Mr B panting from here.

Interesting getting a different take on it though.

I admit it frieked me out at the time. I ran screaming for home
