I'm not sure that the above exchange is in line with the moral principle & sentiment of the thread.

Whilst I am well aware that you 2 don't see eye to eye, to me, it appears there is a semblence of an olive branch, or at least courtesy offered. Seems a little thrown back.

Think that is a little bit of a shame after the initial promise of the thread :(

I think chucky's post was humorous and so was my reply.

I don't think the original promise of the thread was that everyone would love each other (I wouldn't dare to promise that much!) just that there would be no overt rudeness.

    There hasn't been.

I'd be extraordinarily surprised if chucky was offended. I think he's made of sterner stuff.

    But thanks for your concern.

Obviously, if this thread isn't 'Nice' enough, feel free to start an 'Even Nicer' one.

I may not be nice enough to contribute, sadly. :(

    Okay, apologies accepted. :)

Explanation required here, though, please ???

It does get complicated, doesn't it?

I wasn't referring to you at all, but to the other poster who pinched your moniker - they described themselves as a 'lone wolf' blazing their own trail or some such, which did seem singularly inappropriate for someone who was blatantly copying your name!

Nice to see you back, treliac.

Was v surprised how many people didn't notice it wasn't you - it was hardly in your usual style.

Er ..yes how did you guess:p. I am a big kid at heart so the books were right up my street so to speak:rotfl:
Not going to worry about the kitchen really...just hoping it doesnt take us as long to save up for this as it did to replace wonky front door (4 years lol) and as it costs considerably more to replace a kitchen we really need to get saving....not easy with 3 lil' berties (actually oldest is 8" taller than me and wont stop flippin growing) and only 1 income!

I recently read all the Potters along with my eldest (though much to her annoyance have banned her from Book 4 on until she's at secondary school, as I thought all the duelling over gravestones etc etc was inapprpriate for a 9 year old - she hates me for it as her best friend was allowed to read the whole lot. :D).

I admit to a bit of a crush on Professor Snape ie Alan Rickman - it's partly that men-with-long-dark-hair thing that I don't seem to be able to resist, but largely that fabulous smooth, silky-yet-gravelly voice.

And a bad guy - but good inside. And so clever.

    Ohhh.

Yes, see what you mean now carolt.

We all know whose style it was though. He's trying to chat me up by pm now. Should I, or shouldn't I forgive the bane of MSE. I have a reputation to maintain ;) Hmmmm......
