Hi ...lurker here (always sounds a bit dodgy!) but I read the first few pages and then the last few got confused:eek: and just decided to say hi to everyone:)
In the spirit of the OP here goes...(and hoping not to cause further confusion);)
I used to make a wicked CHOCOLATE cake ...till my oven stopped working and due to the economic downturn cannot as yet afford a new one to go with the kitchen which has also stopped working (is falling to bits) .
House prices have fallen considerably for 4 bed houses in my area, and although we would dearly love one... cannot stretch the 10-20k to move out of our 3 bed, so my ds's have to share a cupboard sized bedroom for the time being!
Maybe one day I will actually get a return on the £5 pw investment in the national lotto and we can eat cake again. For now though its mr s basics beans whilst we save for our kitchen fund! :D
    I think that covers it:beer:
bertie (btw I am a she)
JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200:D FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £200

Are you a Harry Potter fan, Bertie?

Shame about the kitchen, welcome to the thread however.

Always good to get to know our lurkers... ;)

You don't want to believe everything you read, chucky.

A useful life lesson learned. :)

I'm not sure that the above exchange is in line with the moral principle & sentiment of the thread.

Whilst I am well aware that you 2 don't see eye to eye, to me, it appears there is a semblence of an olive branch, or at least courtesy offered. Seems a little thrown back.

Think that is a little bit of a shame after the initial promise of the thread :(
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Did you think treliac had just had a bit of a personality shift or been at the booze? (Apologies treliac!) ;)

    Okay, apologies accepted. :)

My favourite bit was where Treliac claimed she (?) was a real individual, a 'lone wolf' was I think the phrase. Unfortunate choice of name, that being the case. :D

Explanation required here, though, please ???

It seems someone stole and capitalised your name. there is only one treliac, and she's ''one of us'' and imposters, even if good eggs, (have no idea who it was) were bound to be jumped upon. Couldn't have chosen a nicer person to attempt to emulate though/

edit: oh, I think I've interpreted the bit you quote differently. lone wolf though, no, you hold your own opinions, but you run with our pack: we are a broad church of a pack though,

Just on the off chance that you genuinely don't know...
There is a much liked and well respected regular poster on here called treliac. It's confusing to have another poster called Treliac.

I've genuinely enjoyed many of the true treliacs posts. So, in this case, (& part of me is kinda sad to say) I'm glad to see the PPR letters under Treliac.

Thank you both for your kind words. I've been a bit busy for posting recently and, so it seems, while the cat was away that old mouse (they can't get rid of!) was out at play. Poor wee mite, with nothing better to do......

I see that I've been 'busy' on DT and in the Arms too. Well they don't really know me there so.... give them a bit of time and they'll soon forget the embarrassment that was Treliac. :rotfl:
