    :)

Different scales this week at the doctors, which I suspect went quite..heavily ;)in my favour! But.....2.5 kilos!!! which is just over...5lbs....hmm, far too quick presuming scales are right I said, but doctor doesn't seem worried (after all, a drop in the comparitive ocean).

So, I'm pretty happy (I was expecting 2-2.5 lb loss, not kilos), but aware I need to watch the speed of loss. What I'm worried is that the first bit will remain easy, but the further I get the harder it will be...

As a matter of interest does any one here read any of the health/fitness and or slimming magazines? I was surprised to day how big the range is. I'm guessing they are a bit of a waste of money and not very MSE, but wondered f they provide inspiration?

Great work on the weight loss.

I dont buy the magazines anymore, run way too expensive, but most of the magazines have free website with articles etc, more MSE to use those and saves me money in the long run.

Well last night was stuck or time as my daughter is having a 4 month rowth spurt feeding every 2 hours ( feel shattered today) so jumped on the wii it with the older two, nand did a some short workout videos from sparkpeople, my body aches today, shows how unfit I have become as this was all so easy to me pre prenancy, hey ho.

Flipping heck, it's falling off you! :T Brilliant news :D

coco - I feel your pain! We're snowed under with mince pies and biscuits and giant tins of chocs at work at this time of year and I must not eat any of them! I haven't succumbed yet though, woop.

I had my first December weigh in this morning and it was a very pleasing 2lbs off :D That takes me across another stone barrier, woohoo.

Next week may be tricky though as I have a meal out on Tuesday night and then it's the work Christmas meal on the Thursday. As I weigh in on Fridays I am tempted to move my weigh in day :o

Thank you.:o TBH, I'm amazed, and not finding it hard ATM.

Good for you! Coco, its hard when there are only two of you, because your rebuttal might be taken badly, BUT you have to stick by your guns. Can you have ''gone off stuff'' at the moment? Perhaps you can make an excuse like you are feeling a bit overfaced with all the Christmas plans and its put you off your food?:o Sometimes white lies are the way to go: to save someone else's feelings and o protect yourself. I think dieting is quite...selfish...at times, but it needs to be.

Re christmas meal on the thursday...should it be too much of a problem? Its not real Christmas, but is likely to be a turkey lunch? If so can you leave some of the trimmings like suasage in bacon, and roasties, and have roast turkey and mainly veg? Thats not the worstmeal in the world, by any means. If its a different menu, I bet you can choose something not unreasonable. re puddings at meals out, there is a theory that after three bites the food tastes less intense, less satisfying. While I don't find this myself ...:o...I do sometimes employ a three bite limit on ''naughty but nice'' stuff, if I feel it is less easily avoidable. Wine, one small glass then fizzy water: watch everyone look pink in the cheeks and a little foolish ;)

The thing for me is that I don't really crave sugar etc, once it is out of mysystem, and tose little give ins seem to make me want more and more!

I've picked crab spring rolls with pineapple chutney (shall just have a small taste of the chutney) and braised beef with caramelised onions, rosemary dumplings and mash (won't eat most of the mash). I'm not having pudding and I'll try and restrict my alcohol intake. I think that's about as reasonable as I can make it :o

Alexnikov - chutney is not that high in calories, enjoy!!!

lostinrates - CONGRATS on the 5lb loss, wowee!!!

knithappens - keep at it, you will get there (with a new baby any exercise is a bonus so you should feel proud).

coco1980 - my colleagues are the same with sweets and chocs. I agree with the advice from lostinrates - it will spare her feelings and keep you on track xoxo

:oI am very excited about tonights' supper,:o Calorie count says one glas of Champagne is 98 calories, and oysters are 10 calories each so supper is a decandant affair of 8 oysters and a glass of chamagne.....ok so its not brilliantly MSE, but you can't have everything! Besides, The Dragn did say ''Decadent December''!
