Hi all. Count me in again please :) I'm going to weigh-in on Weds morning, so will post a starting weight then and also a finish weight for the November challenge. I always start off with really good intentions for how I'm going to cope with the Christmas period (eat what I want on Christmas Day/Boxing day, normal weight-loss style eating the rest of the time) but I normally end up over eating for the whole holiday period! I'll be happy to stay the same this month, probably by losing a couple of pounds during the early part of the month then putting it back on over Christmas :D

  • Hi all. Just popped in to say that I had a STS this week . So that make's my November total 3lb's :o

Never mind - onwards and upwards! Did manage to go swimming on saturday, but the water was soooo cold that I had to get out after an hour!! So, I don't think that I burned many calories although I had to keep moving, as it was so cold!

Have a good week all, I'm gonna try extra hard to hit my 5st target for xmas over the next 3 weeks, so that's 3lb's which should be doable- hopefully!!!

    xx

I'd like to know how you all deal with odd hankerings/cravings. The only thing I really, really want ATM is oysters. My dearest DH and my mother both tried to get me some this weekend, (I got the last two at Waitrose on friday, I had one DH had one, but one isn't enough!) but we couldn't get them. Now, while oysters aren't the worst things in the world (I think they are ten calories each?) if my want had been for something ''bad'' and easily available I think it would have been more miserable trying to avoid it.

(NB, I'm hoping next friday to have ordered some oysters to scoff for supper!

I try to be excessively strong willed and ignore it. I still have no self control when it comes to eating say, one biscuit or a few sweets, I just munch through the whole packet, so I know there's no point me giving into temptation in the first place. I'd be more miserable and angry with myself if I did give in than I would be for still wanting them (if that makes sense?)

Having said that, I don't think I've had any really bad cravings so far so what do I know?!

Yes, that is my tendancy too. Frankly usually I'd rther do without something, sving the calories, thn have an unsatisfactory diet version too.

This oyster craving is something else though (my mther suggested I do a pregnancy test just to be sure.:D)

Okay just been to the nurse and weighed in and according to their scales I am starting the month at 307.5 pounds - so even though that is still a stonking amount of weight it IS lower so if I can have a good December I might even get back down below 300 pounds! :j:j

  • Afternoon All.

I have only just found this thread and can I join please. I joined WW last wednesday so have been doing it for just under 1 week. My start weight is 11st and my first weigh in will be tomorrow.

So far I have been finding it easy enough although today i am struggling, can't wait for my tea.

I would love to be half a stone lighter by christmas and a whole stone lighter by the end of January.

I will also be doing a Davina workout DVD in the mornings to get a bit of exercise in.

Will let you know how I get on tomorrow

    Good Luck
