Though in all fairness, you can only listen to one cd at a time...
I accept that. However if someone has various requirements they want fulfilled and a dealer has misinformed them with regard to those requirements, then that is wrong.
I understand the lack of a cd changer might not be enough to bother a lot of people, it wouldn't really bother me if I'm honest but the fact remains for my son, it was something that formed part of his decision to buy this car. He's young, he likes his music, he wanted a changer.
As mentioned earlier, son could have bought the same car for the same price from a nearby garage with a 6cd changer, he was told this one had a changer so it was 6 and half a dozen between the two. That's clearly not the case now.
I want to make it clear that I'm not suggesting the dealer has lied or deliberately tried to con him in any way. I accept the two salesmen very likely erred. But their error formed part of the decision to buy and I think it will be very unfair if they just say 'tough'.Herman - MP for all!

Personally if this had happened to me i would be trying to get them to replace the CD unit, im sure this car would have been advertised as having a 6cd changer, and therefore you should get what you paid for.:beer:0

It'd be cheaper to buy an iPod rather than retrofit a 6cd changer. The man without a signature.0

Perhaps so vikingaero, but that's not really the point imo. He shouldn't have to spend any money getting what he was told was there at point of sale anyway.Herman - MP for all!

Who mentioned MP3 earlier in this thread as a possible substitute??

I mentioned it, as Ford do two versions of this Sony set. ONe is a 6 disc changer and t'other is MP3 player.
However, lots of modern Fords (2005 onwards I think) have an ipod/aux connection at the back of the glovebox.0
