I can double check when i get in my car tonight and post a definate answer, but im 99% sure the button says load on the right (as you look at this picture) and eject on the left, the number 1-6 which store your pre set radio station should also let you chose which CD to listen too:beer:0

You could forcefully ram 6 cd's into it to the point where it breaks the player, then go back to the dealer complaining it is broken. When they say its because you rammed 6 CD's into a single player you could come back insisting that 2 separate salesmen said it had a 6 disc changer, and that since the player is now broken they should replace it with a 6 disc changer as you expected it to have.
Don't blame me if it all goes wrong though!!0 -

If the button says CD/INFO it means its the sony MOP3 player, not to be confuddled with the Sonly 6disc changer that most have.0

Thought that. Thanks. Pretty bad of the dealer to tell him it was a 6 cd changer when it wasn't.
His Dad was with him when he bought it so I think he'll phone tomorrow to see what their position is over this.Herman - MP for all!

Right after a little digging round the net there is no reason why he would not have the 6cd changer in the ST 2 apart from if the previous owner or the dealer has changed it as it comes as standard on the ST2 and ST3, this diagram should show you where the button should be, also just above the load button mine says 6cd changed in stencled white lettering which this picture doesnt have

Thanks for taking the time, Kingsd. I came across some posts on other forums where people also have an ST 2 with the single player, some of these were bought new from Ford. Apparently this was down to a change in spec at one point in Ford's effort to cost cut.

The dealer that son's car was bought from said it had not been changed or modified in any way so he had no reason to to believe the stereo was not standard from new.
Thanks to all who helped clarify the stereo. Appreciate the advice also.Herman - MP for all!

Regardless of with unit is fitted, I'm sure your son didn't buy the car for the stereo.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

The dealer assumed when he saw the Sony radio, that it was the 6disc changer as 98% of them are. I've made the same mistake too. Easy to do if you just glance at it.
Though in all fairness, you can only listen to one cd at a time...0
