I have had 2 experiences of this in the past
    1) they reduced the cashback t oaround half of what i expected
    2) they never paid.
I would advise NOT relying on cashback for vodafone sim only.

You've 7 days from receipt to return it, doesn't matter if you use it or not they'll just bill you for the airtime you use.

As g002ahe says above, never rely on cashback.
It will always take longer than the return period for Quidco (or any other cashback site) to track than your return window with the network. The cashback not tracking is not a reason to end a contract so you're tied in.
  • To be honest, as long as quidco showed that they had found and tracked the link, i'd be more than happy to wait...lets hope it shows up in a day or two, otherwise i'll just send it back :(

Yes im not too impressed so far...
  • Hi [name,]

Thank you for your enquiry regarding your Vodafone transaction.

As this merchant has a ninety day validation period it can take that long to track into your account. However, it is more likely to track in before then.

In the event that this does not happen, after ninety days you will need to raise a missing earnings enquiry. You can do this by following this link - quidco.com/new-enquiry/ and supplying the following information

The full name and Vodafone Order ID which will be in a number format of o2236551

In the meantime please do not worry as these validation periods are perfectly normal.

    Kind regards,

    [name]
    QuidCare

    Is it normal?

    Yeah, it's normal.

The network need to see you've not just started the contract, got the cashback and then cancelled. They'd lose money then. . .
  • Thanks Jon 01 for the info.
  • thanks rain and jon.

My problem is not the validation, but to know that by clicking on that link my referral at least has been tracked by quidco. Otherwise after x number of days there is a chance that i can end up with an unwanted £25pm contract for 12mths and quidco telling me that "sorry, we can't track your link and therefore saying we can't pay cashback".

Now how can i be sure that this is the case guys and i'm not gonna end up losing out?

    thanks
