Did your boss have a hidden agenda last night Sally?

    Lounge sorted. :T

No it was lovely, wine, nibbles and a chat. Talked a bit about work but not much and then we howled away at Gavin and Stacey.

Back from Town, tried on some suction short things in M&S but didn't think much of the suction TBH and they were £35 so think I shall get the concrete scaffolding Gok version online for £36 and get cashback through quidco :)

Why do the mornings go so quickly got to pick B up in half an hour!

  • Pigsty sorted. Had coffee outside in the sunshine - quite warm.

I tried those knicker things on for DD's wedding. We died of laughing in the changing room. I felt like a Pilsbury dough boy. :rotfl:

    Kitchen here I come.

Afternoon all. Have been to the doctors and have got viral laryngitis, so there's nothing I can take for it, I just have to let it run it's course. It usually clears up within a couple of weeks, but as I have already had it for 2 weeks, he did mention that is could be another couple of weeks before it goes, and if it hasn't improved in a fortnight, I have to go back and see their ear, nose and throat specialist. Gahhhhhhhhh!!

SRM, I have a feeling Shrek's best friend is in that Abba tribute group. He's called Mark someone (can't remember), but if you see someone green and ogre-like in the audience, give him a kick for me as you go past. :)

Bookie, the cleaning is a very good sign - when I feel down I let the housework slide, and I know I am dragging myself back out of it when the house looks sparkly again. Some things are outside of our control, but getting a grip on the things we CAN control helps a lot, I think.

Tenmah, really sorry about your DD - hope she recovers quickly. :grouphug:

I am mucho amused by Mr Sunday, who is 'growing a mo' for the prostate cancer awareness month charity thingy, and has now transformed his (worryingly ginger) beard into a Frank Zappa-esque creation that is truly a thing of beauty... :rotfl:

Woohoo just got a GP appointment next week!

Been to the hospital but lost a bet with myself. I knew I'm due another lot of tests and I'd narrowed it down to brain scan or bone marrow, and decided it'd be the brain scan. Wrong, it's the bone marrow, probably. He's going to talk to the team about me at their next meeting, but he says the problem's been going on for too long and it's time they did more investigations.

I also asked him about travel, and he says he doesn't recommend going to a developing country because my immune system's not up to it, which is both of my dream holidays out :( . Oh well, I knew that was probably the case anyway.

Off for a nap now then OU work and housework.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Sorry about the holidays Ames, is it something that's likely to improve over time?

  • Thanks.
    Methinks I'm in denial!

Hey, if it helps you get housework done, chuck some this way. :D My grandparents are arriving later today and my room looks like a tornado's been through it.

  • That sucks Snaggs - hopefully you will start to improve now.

Kitchen nearly hygienic. Need to do floors but I don't think I shall have enough hot water after my shower.

    Shower time.

    Must do VAT return.

You could take the bucket with you and let it fill up when you push the showerhead to one side to stop the shampoo running away when you try to get it in your hair. Or do you just turn the shower off for that bit?
