Oooh have a lovel time tonight SRM - sounds great.

My daughter has just fallen down the stairs from top to bottom, then she was sick (probably from shock).

She has hurt her knee, leg, back and foot. She has Fibromyalgia, so she is really going to suffer from this, poor thing.

ooh, tenmah, that isn't good :(

Payday for me - and the tax office have refunded all the tax I've been paying through my salary this year for my 07-08 AQA earnings  Utter idiots. I told them when they changed my code a couple of weeks ago they are wrong, but they haven't listened and said I'm definitely due it and I've got nearly £500 extra in my salary. Thing is - I'll now have that put back on my self employed account still to pay plus my 08-09 tax!! That means I'll have a total of around £1000 in tax to clear rather than the £193 that was due for next year, so I guess they will just divide the bigger amount by 12 when they realise and deduct more per month from April unless they ask for it back in 1 go.

Great  (nice to see a salary go in though this month of £1750, however false a figure it is - haven't seen that kind of income since I left Cruellaville!!)

  • Morning all.
    Hugs for daughter Tenmah.
Today I will tidy and clean - been letting life get to me and the place is a tip. Have told DD2 to collect all the stuff I have been storing for her - she has a bigger place than me now and a tumble drier just does not go with my dining room decor.
Then have to look after Samuel this afternoon whilst DD1 goes to George re back to work plan - hope they don't cancel again.
Oh - and I must phone through mortgage payment for the DD that bounced.

    Better move! :o

    Morning all!

Was at work at 8 this morning but leaving at 12 :D

Hoping my coat will be redelivered in time (interlink are rubbish, but oasis were lovely on the phone yesterday - very impressed with their customer service I have to say!), but if not there are people in the building all day so it should be here on Monday!

Have left mess of kitchen for the flatmates to deal with - after chucking water on it last night to put out the flames they didnt clean it up grrr

Good luck Bookie and Luc with housework ;)

Sorry about your daughter's fall tenmah!!!
  • Somebody has left 2 bags of wood offcuts outside my front door. Not as exciting as BB's chocolate dropper but more practical. :D

    Morning all

bb - tax office are pants aren't they? put the extra money in a savings account until they ask for it back - it' what I do with Evie's child benefit and tax credits. I might have a nice amount saved up by the time she's one (enough to clear the visa bill when the 0% deal ends or make a huge dent in it if the tax office don't want it back)

Tenmah I hope your daughter's knee recovers fast. I'm always terrified when I see people fall down stairs but that's because of what happened to my cousin.

SRM - enjoy the abba tribute; hope you've been practising all the songs. My bf and I used to visit uni friends on a weekend and half the fun was singing along (loudly and badly) to abba songs. Leeds to Lancaster would give us plenty of time to listen to them all twice over!

Luc - good luck with the daily chores

Bookie - you sound like a gal with a plan and really upbeat as though your worries have been put aside! hope DD's meeting goes well.

Becky - hope the coat arrives by the time you get home

Bit meh today. I'm meeting a friend and need to raise a delicate issue but I hate confrontation...

am also waiting for HV to phone back about the milk monster. she keeps bringing her afternoon and evening milk up (we always gave her a formula top up but now we've cut out the afternoon BM and the evening is a small BM feed and a larger formula top up. I can't express enough milk for her afternoon feed and I've got six weeks to sort it out before she'll be at childminder's in the afternoon. I'd not worry if she was taking juice / water (cos I could give her cheesy meals for the calcium and know the liquids were sorted) but that's such a fight to get her to take more than a drop of water:confused::confused: One HV recommended stay down milk but they don't sell it at the local small/crappy tesco and I've not seen it in Asda so reckon I'll be hunting for that milk this weekend!

  • My life is a rollercoaster at the moment - all ups and downs. Trying to be positive - was seriously plunging into depression and I'm not going to go that way again.
I just can't believe how little 'me' time I get even though I am not at work. It's silly - I should be on top of all housework and paperwork but I'm not.
