Morning all,I've just lost a lengthy post:mad: and the speed I type I'll be here till lunchtime,so I'll just say hello, and hope that Haribos DT is recovering well.

Oh,and I've crocheted 4 flowers that actually look like flowers now (and lots more that didnt :rotfl:)so I'm going to use them to embellish the Christmas goodie bags that I made for 2 friends. The flowers are cream, the bags dark red,and I've found some dark red buttons in my button box,so I think they'll look nice (and still be useful once all the goodies have been eaten.

Meat pie for tea.I've frozen most of the muffins I made yesterday to avoid gluttony on my part ;)

Have a good day all, hope all is well.x

    Morning, just about!

We've had a lazy start here as DS2 & DS3 are both off school for a teacher training day. They have gone to MIL's with DH to get the final bits sorted at the flat than it's done :T I am having a quick tidy round, dust & vac downstairs and sorting out outgrown/no longer worn clothes upstairs for a charity shop. We have a lot of MIL's things to donate too.

No idea what lunch will be today  probably cheese on toast. Dinner is going to be a chilli which I shall make shortly.

Hugs to all who need one & have a good day.

    Hi peeps

I posted earlier but managed to lose it and didn`t have time to rewrite it all :o

The joiner is here now boxing in the sidewinder from the stairs which is above the kitchen, hopefully he won`t be too much longer as i`ve has to abandon knocking the plaster off in there as there just isn`t room for two of us and all the appliances which have been moved from their normal places.

Both houndies are snoring gently on their beds after a very early walk this morning, it was pitch black when i took them to the park and they both loved it, the young one managed to burn off an amazing amount of energy but i`m not expecting the peace to last much longer :D

Yesterday i removed everything else from the kitchen that is fixed apart from the kitchen sink  i now have no worktops whatsoever and am really struggling, there is room for the microwave or the breadmaker or the remoska but only one at a time so i have to keep swapping them around, everything is in the living room so its a bit cluttered in here at the moment.

I freecycled the built in oven and the hob which were collected straight away, i wasn`t planning on doing this until next week so i have nothing to cook properly on for quite a while, it seems really strange.

The man who is putting the new window in the kitchen came early this morning to measure up so if all goes to plan the window, plastering etc should be all finished by the 11th. I shall keep my fingers crossed that we don`t hit any more problems now.

Right the joiner has just finished so i shall go back up the ladders and get on with it, hopefully i shall have it finished before DH gets home from w*rk then i shall hunt around the boxes for something to eat. Think that there may be something i the freezer but i`m not sure. I`m not very organised atm.

I shall be back later hopefully.

Haribo - Hope that Dtwin2 is improving.

    MoneysavingDiva :hello:

Sistercas - Enjoy Meadowhell - Wish DD a Happy Birthday from us all.

    Have a nice afternoon everyone.

Redruby - hope you get the house problem sorted.
Hillstep - best wishes for your Dads scan.
Mr Anniestar - thanks for the update.
Haribo - glad DD is improving.

Late posting from me as had to shoot out early and drop my car off for its mot - 45 minutes away. Traffic was bad generally and worse by the garage as they have roadworks. Think will pick it up tomorrow am rather than fight the peak traffic later.

Just doing some essential paperwork then heading off to DS' school to help the kids make Xmas decorations, it will be very Christmassy there.

Have the inlaws coming round to give us presents from their latest cruise. They know we are struggling at the moment with the business but they will talk about how much money they spent & how much the new cruise they have just booked has cost them. I wouldnt mind if it was their hard earned money but they were given a house by fil's parents when they first got married and have inherited lots of money since - twice from OH's grandmothers who wanted to write wills but MIL advised them not to leave it all to them & they would sort out. I don't mean to sound mercenary (sp) and it may be that OH wouldnt have been left any money but he would have been happier knowing that if it was his grandmothers choice iykwim. Anyway everyone is dreading their visit - its very sad but they really are not nice people. Kids will disappear into their bedrooms as soon as they come.

Anyway they wont be staying for dinner as we are having chilli and MIL doesnt eat any "foreign rubbish" lol.

So glad its Friday. Off to London tomorrow with some Mr T clubcard vouchers - well hoping to go as actually havnt found the vouchers yet

    Have a good day.x

Haribo - hope DD is better soon

Essex Girl - I always giggle at people who travel abroad but won't eat 'foreign muck' and complain about the foreigners - why not go to Skegness instead  To me half the fun of going on holiday is trying new foods and meeting new people.

Jackie O - DGS job sounds fantastic, will be lots of fun I reckon and he'll have lots of stories to tell I'm sure.

It was Chemo for me yesterday so I've been rather poorly overnight again but not as bad as last time so that's good news. My veins look really nasty this morning so who knows if they'll make it for the next lot but fingerless gloves do help to keep the vein warm and hopefully will revive them in time for the next regime. Even if I do look a bit strange wandering round with one glove and a hat indoors!

It'll be a very MS day for me today as I shan't eat much, shan't leave the house and should have a NSD. It's a lovely sunny day and I'd like to get the washing out but no chance, it'll go on the airer, which is still MS I guess.

Well, had a very very quick read here this morning and decided that it would be better to catch up later rather than being late for work!

Stopped at Aldi on the way home as we needed milk, so got a few things that are up and coming as well - tortilla chips for Christmas hols and a tray of UHT milk that will be needed before the end of the year. Also lucky to get 2 pks bratwurst YS, only 99p each instead of double that. I'm thinking a sort of casserole with beans for those. I know it wasn't on the list and I know I don't need them and I know I want to stay within the budget for the year, but I normally regard them as a bit pricy but quite like them.

Lunch nearly ready, making chicken and leek soup, was supposed to be leek and potato, but there were lots of bits of chicken in the pot of stock when I got it out, so Bonus!

Not sure how this afternoon will pan out, but I need a plan I think.

    Have a good day everyone.

DH drove me to hospital for blood tests and we looked into Tesco on the way back.

Treated myself to a new pair of trousers as i am now a size smaller and would like to be two sizes smaller by the end of the year. They should have been £12 but got them for £8!:j

Really enjoyed the pre retirement course with DH yesterday but was glad to get home at the end of the day and rest.

Have mince and tatties left from the other day so will have some for lunch and might make home made pasta for DD tonight as a treat.

    Hugs to all.

    Hello again,
Essex Girl - my inlaws are exactly the same. My FIL is positively rude and told DD she was very fat last time he saw her. What gives him the right :mad: Anyway my kids positively groan and go AWOL when they visit. Having said that we have not seen them for about a year as they live up north! My MIL is actually really nice by herself but very diferent with him. Anyway they have had SIX holidays this year and we couldnt afford one. I tried to muster some enthusiasm when she was telling me all about them but it was very hard to be genuine.

Haribro - hope your little one starts to improve today.
Sunflower - hope you feel stronger tomorrow.

I have been out to PostOffice but am planning a quiet afternoon.
    Love Molly
