Would really like to order this but as I don't really need it so I guess it wouldn't be very moneysaving.
  • Super - how lovely is this going to look on a "frost-themed" Christmas table! Thank you so much for the find!
  • This Christmas, I'm going to be like Hyacinth Bucket... "Would you like the Royal Doulton or a beaker?" :rotfl:

Hi Guys - has anyone actually seen these- are they of the normal high quality Royal Doulton are known for ?
im about to order 20 sets... i know big family...
  • Difficult to say Jaspal, I can't say I've really inspected Royal Doulton before (never thought I'd be able to afford it) so it's difficult to compare it to what's sold in Debenhams/John Lewis etc, but hubby and I unpacked all 8 sets that we bought last night, to check for any flaws, chips or cracks and it all seemed to be top quality porcelain and looked like an expensive set. The feel and finish of it is very nice, it doesn't feel 'budget' at all...

Hopefully some other MSE'ers will be able to help with their opinion?

TBH that was my main worry, but then I thought if I purchased a cheap every day set it would be about £20 for 16/20 pieces - this Doulton set is also £20 for 20 pieces so it made sense to take the chance.
Will report back when they arrive. :)
