Just in case anyone is hoping to buy this weekend and can get a hold of a Metro newspaper - There is a voucher for 20% of Robert Dyas (valid Friday 11th - Sunday 13th) in today's paper. This would make it 2 sets for £8 - an absolute bargain in my eyes!
I'm off to get mine after work, have just checked stock levels at my local store.
Hope this helps someone else0 -
The voucher can be downloaded by clicking hereThird time lucky on WW I hope :j

My creamer/sugar set and coffee cups have just arrived.
Had a saucer smashed to smithereens and it was very strange as the saucer underneath it was fine as were the cups above it. The box they were in was unmarked as was the outer cardboard box. I can only assume it had a flaw or weak point which gave out during transit.
It's being replaced though so all is well.
I do think these items are not the kind of quality normally associated with Royal Doulton. The rim of the sugar bowl is far from circular for example which means the lid doesn't sit perfectly in the middle iyswim.
Doesn't bother me really as they still will look fine sitting on our dinner table and it's not like we're so posh I'm used to better, so for what I paid for them, I'm still happy enough.
I still really want a salt and pepper set though and they wont send me one (I've asked). *still sobbing*Herman - MP for all!0 -

Mine finally arrived. Found the City Link driver very good, helped me in with box. I agree that this set is not what you would associate with Royal Doulton. It is very nice. Am going to order more and use it every day! Thank OP.0
