My sympathies. My mother still occasionally reminds me that my birthday gift to her 'alledgedly' went missing two years in a row, I shall never be forgiven for that. I did have my return address on it though and never got the parcels back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ah yes Belfast- the equivalent of the elephant's graveyard for parcels.
I recall quite a while ago seeing a programme about the lost parcels office and a guy was walking round these vast rooms with shelves and sacks and gurneys full of parcels all destined to remain there unless by some hope someone managed to link a 'lost' claim description with the contenst of a parcel.
OP, is there any invoice or anything in the parcel to link it to you when it does get opened at belfast? Otherwise this might be an expensive lesson to remember to always put a clear return address on all packets in future as without any proof of delivery to anywhere you will lose a paypal claim.
Thank you soolin. Yes I think I will put it down to an expensive lesson. The world won't stop turning. I didn't realise that Belfast had a parcel graveyard. Lol.0 -

Yes, I wouldn't have your job this time of year. Have tried to contact ebay who were as helpful as a chocolate fireguard. But will ring RM today in hope that they will be able to help me. I have never had a problem with RM, in fact I'm amazed that in all the time I've being doing ebay not a single item has gone missing. I suppose thats why I became a bit lax with my return address.
Thank you for your help Custardy.0 -
I have to say I have rung RM today and they have been extremely helpful. They have taken down all the details and said it will most likely be returned to me because of the tracking number. Very professional service.0
