Thanks everyone. You're right, it is good to have something to look forward to and despite the hole in my savings account now I feel really proud that we've saved to do this rather than borrowed. We're going to concentrate on getting the rest of the money together now as the balance has to be paid mid-june, and when we've done that we'll go back to overpaying the cards again.
  • Hello folks

Well done everyone is doing so well with their payments, your enthusiasm and commitment are so infectious am trying to spread the word of being a DFW. Payments today are £920.00.breakdown::D
£200 towards additions, £150 towards halifax cc (got caught out over december which bit me on the financial behind- won't be making that mistake anytime soon), £60 towards hsbc cc, £50 towards student loan £210 graduate loan and £250 overpayment on mortgage. would love to round it up to a cool £1000 hopefully if I get some extra work over the month might get to reach that goal or if I fiddle around my expenses we'll see

  • A few more payments made (£328 in total) so overall debt down and a little step towards the 10k acheived.
Best thing is I have now cleared my Next debt which was just under 2k so I am now chipping away at the next highes intrest bearing debt.

Even though it is only 28 day month it seems like it really has dragged!
