We've taken the plunge and booked our holiday in Turkey, so definitely no big overpayments from me for a while! The money we'd saved towards it so far just covers the flights and the deposit for the accomodation, but it feels great to have paid for it upfront rather than to have put it on a credit card. We're going to do the whole thing without using our credit cards. Two weeks in August, first in a four-bedroom villa in Kas, which is a cute, bohemian harbour town. Our villa has a swimming pool and steps down into the sea at the end of the garden. Then a week on the beach further round the coast on a turtle-nesting area, so it's lovely and quiet and protected, staying in a little bungalow right on the sand, with breakfast and dinner cooked for us every day. NICE!
Sorry to post when we're all cutting back but I'm so excited. It's our 40th birthdays this year and we wanted to do something really nice to celebrate. Also we've never been away just the three of us before, so that's cool - my five year old is so excited about snorkelling! And particularly pleased we've managed to find something non-packagey for a reasonable price.0 -
